Point of correction the Anambara man that became a muslim so he can marry a hausa Edo girl.
If Igbo do Islam, I can assure you Hausa Fulani some would troop in and even reject their own men. They kniw this , reason why they will even kill the lady than allow them marry.

Hey, I still stand by my earlier submission that the name 'Hauwa or Hauwa'u' is a hausa name. Lots of hausa words originated from arabic language e.g sadaka(sadaqa/sadqah). The Arabic version of the name is spelt 'Haawa Or Hawwa/Hawa'; and not Hauwa.
It means 'Eve' in English. Thus, Hauwa'u is the name used in the hausa translation of the Holy Bible.
