How I hate that phrase Do you know who I am?. Ogbeni you are nothing more than a vulnerable flesh and blood. Dust to dust. Human beings are so vulnerable that invisible microorganisms can end it. We need to take life easy and be humble

BeeBeeOoh:
Nothing dey dis life but, if you see how some people will be shouting "Do You Know Who I Am on top their voices on the road eeh, u go fear fear.

Did you notice that all Ajimobi's Children's names started with A's and has Ola's in it including his, Abiola Ajimobi??

That is how most Yoruba families name their children.

There is usually a consistent pattern.
That's good. Me and siblings names started with B's also..

They left Nigerian educational system to rot and send their children abroad to school.

Another reason the whites see us as stupid people, this would make the rich becoming richer and poor becoming poorer.

There's nothing joyous about a politician children schooling abroad to me, look at the state of our primary and secondary schools in villages, these children are hardly able to write letters at Senior classes, how would they pass jamb, how would they gain admission into the highly competitive universities, how will they ever read professional courses that could land them a job after graduation?
These people now go to NCES, and become teachers, and the cycle of poor education continues.
Meanwhile, the best were supposed to be the one to attend Teachers college, so that they can raise good students, but now, the worst attend NCEs.
I don't think anyone is feeling that pains, where people going to NCE are people with less qualifications, unintelligent minds, zero seals unlike in the past where those teachers went to TEACHERS college because they wanted to be TEACHERS and were very good at what they teach. The NCE students of today, are usually very poor students, with poor results, from poor families. These are the people that would be handling the children of the poor, the vulnerable children in our public schools, thi means the future is very blurry for the poor and vulnerable people and the rich would continue to be richer.

We need to make Nigeria a country where people have equal education or at least with a gap not too wide.

I can't see all these innocent children and smile when I see these type of pictures. Infanct, there's nothing to be proud about when a Nigerian graduated from whites people's university. Can't we have our own Warwick, Harvard, Oxford? Must we always be longing to attend universities abroad and attach our pride to it?

Since when have we been seeing it as an achievement to graduate from universities abroad? Is that how the African people would continue till the world ends? Attaching our Ego to ''abroad'', ''foreign''? Nah, something is not right. We also deserve our universities to be an object of high achievement.

If you are a Nigerian who is passionate about developing our Nation, about the welfare of vulnerable people, children, please join us in this thread and let's hear from you

Him and ajimobi are usually together so he could have contracted it too.

Just heard from some of his followers that he died of diabetes but not Corona virus. He had reached the stage of using insulin before his system finally collapsed.

The pictures were taken last year at the graduation ceremony of his last born daughter Ajijola Ajimobi, from the University of Warwick. The only unmarried child of the exgovernor (formerly in a relationship with Dapo Abioduns son, the late Dj Olu).

The governor's children, along with their spouses were all present at the ceremony.

Ajimobi schooled in America working , washing corpse and doing menial jobs like taxi driver later married Florence an half Lebanese rich man's child

Rose to the level of Executive Vice President West Africa of ExxonMobil after working in the oil sector for 26 hard years

And you fvcking think he can't school his kids anywhere he likes?

About education Ajimobi's policy was simple and straightforward, parents pay 1000 per term into PTA account while Government matches the fund 100% and Principals and School Governing body can repair the schools , employ temporary teachers PTA teachers, buy books while parents cordinate the contract.. same parents that drink paraga and attend owambe don't have mere ₦30 per day for education

On Lautech he gave them blunt honest options

A: Audit your IGR , tuition fees, Lautech ventures like Lautech water, Lautech Bread etc and give him the statement of account so that he can pay them deficits needed to pay Greedy Lecturers

B: Oyo granted full Ownership of Lautech and Osun's withdrawal of ownership since Aregbesola wasn't paying any Kobo

C: Students pay Atleast 100k as tuition, as Oyo State 5billion FAAC Abuja allocation can't finance 900million monthly lecturers outrageous salary

And in less than 4 years he built a University called TECHU for Oyo State (he doesn't own a private university like his mates but built one for Oyo), note last Governor to build a University for Oyo State was Bola Ige in the 1980s

.

They should upgrade the techU to a full university. We need Tech, medical and financial sciences.

Well, about him, he has ideas but he is not the best Oyo gov in my opinion because he disrespects Oyo people a lot.

Let me give you an example, an area around CAC Agbala International HQ after long torturous efforts were able to get his attention about their deplorable road.
From Iyana-Agbala to Ajia to Amuloko-Akanran Axis.

They pleaded for the gov to include it in one of his road projects and open up these areas more for business and igr generation.

The gov said, "that area, they did not vote for me, and is occupied by Igedes from Benue state."
The road was abandoned for his 8 years, it was after he left office that the new man approved the construction. Some portion has been completed now.

My question is, is he not the gov of the state? What diff does it make even if some people from other state are living in your state, you own the land, its in the sates, infrastructures provided will even help the igede who are farmers to produce more and when leaving they won't take the roads with them.

Also, these igede are so small in terms of population, very insignificant.

Are there no other people from that area who voted for him?

Also, on local radio, he was referred to as "Olola Julo" which in Yoruba means the greatest something like that. I personally get irritated by this.

Also, Lautech issue was not handled professionally. He did not consider the students at all, even the lecturers suffered. He may have a better result in mind doing what he did, but he is the Gov, should have listened to the students and just promised them a resolution soon and not engage with war of words with these teenagers.

The Pensioners died in hundreds under him, he did not pay them their peanuts at all, when the new give came in and paid the arrears and cleared all backlogs. I was like, so there is money to pay these lecturers all along?

The teachers and civil servants were owed and were forced to come to work inspire of there salaries that are unpaid for months or slashed

The demolition of Ayefele Radio Station comes to mind as well.

The desecration of the royal office of Olubadan.

Etc

While there is no perfect person, no perfect Governor.

He has his goods, a lot of them, but has a lot of bass too.

He has done his own part and left on a good note.
May God forgive his soul and grant him Jannah.

But people should stop calling him the best gov in the history of the state or the architect of modern Oyo
.

Those are just unverified political statements.

May his soul find peace with God Almighty. Ameen

Please compare what Bola Ige did in Oyo State - just 1 term

Numbers of schools set up from scratch (not refurbished)
Tertiary institutions
Housing estates (Ajoda New Town etc)
Roads
EDUCATION (genuine education - tuition, pencils, pens, text books, exercise books, school buses etc)

See, no governor has ever beaten LKJakande in achievement along similar lines outlined above, he did just 1 four year term too . Not even Ige that I mentioned above for Oyo State compares.
We've been too used to low performance from government jare.

Quite insightful...I see what you're saying and it's true, how will those kids even be able to relate to the mess in Nigeria, they already profited off the failed system and would continue to thrive in it

Your comments haven't shown any indication of a high IQ eiher. Sorry.

The fact still remains that poor spoken/written English is an outcome of our substandard educational sector.

Meanwhile, the racist slave master's country is where University of Warwick is located undecided
Let's hear words abeg. So poor spoken/written English translates to our poor educational standard?? Is English our first language in Nigeria? Or would you also say the Chinese and Indians that could barely speak English despite being their official language also have poor educational background Broaden your horizon girl, and free your self from the illusion of the British language.

They just study and live abroad for nothing, they come back home, take up elective positions and make no substantial changes likes the ones in the countries they studied.. that's typical of Nigerians, they believe that people don't deserve what is acceptable in first world countries, this is what I have noticed with them
