Naijababe is correct. Obatala is God; not a person. Nothing connects Orunmila and Agboniregun to Oduduwa. Yoruba people can not even agree on the origins of Oduduwa. I have my theory about Oduduwa.

You cannot claim to know the true origin of the Yorubas if you cannot trace their history to at least Orunmila and connect it to Oduduwa. I brought this up because you were at least able to state that there were Yorubas before Oduduwa and Oduduwa children only expanded Yoruba kingdom.

naijababe:

Apart from Obatala, no one else there is proclaimed as a deity. Ifa is largely regarded as Atona (guide), and Agboniregun supposedly inherited the science of divination from his father Orunmila, don't know how they are connected sha

Well I know ifa is a child or a grandchild to Orunmila. There is a part of odu that called Orunmila baba ifa.

What I heard was that Agboniregun children and grand children were the Yoruba people that received Oduduwa in Ile ife.

You'd better retrace your steps back to Niger before its too late

Bank Anthony is from Ogun, not Lagos.

Check your facts

Same as how you mistook Ciroma for Prof. Gambari yesterday.

I think you mean Orunmila baba Agboniregun. The only connection according to the Odu is that Ifa learnt divination from Agboniregun, not sure of any other connection but I stand to be corrected.

My friend, stop that.  grin
I already stated the connection of Oduduwa to Yoruba people; he met them at Ife.
I stated that Orunmila (is the progenitor of the Yoruba) had 16 children who formed the Yoruba.

Logic tells you that the statement was totally random and I was trying to elicit a response

So post the important people in osun because all I have seen are pastor this, and prince that

Anyone can be a famous pastor (considering its one of the hottest job roles in nigeria) and anyone depending how life deals cards can be born into a royal family
