fredoooooo:

This GEJ government must be silly, dialogue or wipe them fools out . they call him clueless he always act as one .

grin grin grin grin
Even America cannot wipe them out.

Nigeria is a country with big injustice, so dialogue is the answer.
The MEND is thinking about current situation and about the future of their people.

No to Nigeria Yes to ODUA Nation

Some people will always find a reason to complain about govt. If this same govt goes into the creeks and levels the place, these same people will come on NL to lambast the govt for 'gross human rights abuses'. Now the govt wants to dialogue with the MEND, and they're criticized for being ''weak''. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. No wonder I hardly blame Jonathan for ignoring the loud majority and just doing what feels right to him and his govt, and that includes deciding whether or not to attend this or that 'presidential debate'.

grin grin grin @ROSSIKE you are guilty (only mildly if there is such a term) of a common misconception that majority of Nigerians never fail to make. It is one of trivialization (making a mole hill out of a mountain). Yes FG in modern society is "damned if you do, damned if you don't" (it comes with the territory) but you will also notice that because the reigning government is mostly reacting to a crisis situation rather than being proactive, even when they try to correct their steps and do what needs to be done (Dialogue) the public has already formed an opinion (mostly distrustful) and will criticize anything FG does. However you will also put the blame squarely on FG's failure to treat a cancer at the early stages and now try to battle with all its might when it has become a full-blown cancer resistant to any sort of treatment.

There was a point in time when the tide would have been turned by the Abacha government but rather than tread the path of dialogue, they chose to sentence Ken Saro-Wiwa to death and start the birth of the MEND basket-case whom the "democratic" government have ignored since Obasanjo's regime till now. It is not a simple matter of judging the public as an irrational and cynical lot but on looking at the cause of this perception and correcting it accordingly.
