PapaBrowne:

Nice one Khadira, Buhari sees nothing wrong in our education system!!

Another reason why he should not be elected.

Only a fool would say such errant nonsense.

Where will the money come from, Mr. Ribadu? You didn't answer the question. . .

I think Buhari just has a problem with articulation.

Pat Utomi would murder these three guys in a debate. Why wasn't he invited?

Although Buhari may have implied the the education system is fine, he however still mentioned that it UBE needs to be properly funded and monitored.

Mallam Shekarau is just it . The rest were just too clueless except for one or two sparks e.g Ribadu power blight solution was spot on .

Do American TVs invite Ralph Nader to debates?

Seun:

"There's nothing wrong with our educational sector, but it needs improvement" - Buhari

Seun,
I think he was referring to the model of education we run {6-3-3-4} and not the state of our educational system itself.

I sincerely this Shekarau has been the most articulate by far so far!
Re: Presidential Debate on NN24 by tlops(m): 8:22pm On Mar 18, 2011
Shekarau is doing quite well, orally!

WHERE IS SHEKARAU FROM

How come I have not heard of this guy till now?

eku_bear:

He is just pandering, not saying anything. He botched the EFCC question. . .

absolutely. He actually piggy-backed on Ribadu's statement that Nigeria has far too many superflous parastatals and agencies.

Shekarau has a big advantage for me in that I can actually understand his English easily.

Ribadu and Buhari. . . it is a struggle to understand their language  lipsrsealed

'it takes a jump to fall into a ditch and a thousand jumps to get out' - Shekarau

I was impressed with his BBC interview as well

Very inspiring!  Very well spoken too!
Re: Presidential Debate on NN24 by EzeUche2(m): 8:24pm On Mar 18, 2011
A very good question for Shekarau.

He did not support Polio vaccinations. I want to hear his reasons.

This shakarahu guy is very intelligent, he is really displaying his experience in govt.
Re: Presidential Debate on NN24 by Pataki: 8:25pm On Mar 18, 2011
Buhari what is wrong with you??

Gbawe:

You just seem to  find problems with everything Ribadu does !! Even Obama and western politicians do it . I.e try to get a vital point in after time has elapsed . It is nothing to brand anyone arrogant over . Cool it man . Your dislike of Ribadu is palpable.
Oh please. Make the point within time. It is part of discipline in any debate. If he cannot do that, he should not stand in the kitchen. And he has only been impressive with the Power sector debate. At least now we know he is fit for Minister for Power and Energy. lol

But, its easier said than done
Re: Presidential Debate on NN24 by ow11(m): 8:26pm On Mar 18, 2011
Shekarau isn't campaigning properly. Good heavens! I didn't realise the man was this intelligent. I wish He was more popular than Buhari. I wonder if he is just wowing me today or he actually ran Kano state properly.

GEJ is an epic fail! I am utterly disappointed by his conduct. An interview by a musician whose knowledge about history, economics and politics is unknown should NOT and can NOT replace a debate! I will NOT be voting for him.

Buhari speaks like a primary school child and neither gives definite answers just the usual rhetorics.

Ribadu is screaming like a market woman.

Shekerau needs to join alliance with ACN

He is by far better than the rest

If he doesnt get it now, he surely is bound to be president on Nigeria.
