TOPIC: BREAK THE DEVIL’S NECK

BASIC SCRIPTURE: JOSHUA 10:15 - 27

Unending victory shall be yours in this New Month! My prayer for you in this New Year/New Month is that the devil’s sorrow and pain concerning you will know no end. Hear the words of Joshua in today’s scripture (Vs. 24) and receive them for yourself too: “Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these Kings.” And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.” I challenge you to do the same daily this year! Put your feet on the neck of the devil because the LORD has gone ahead of you into this year! YOU HAVE A BACKUP GOD! He says to you: “I give unto you power to trample upon snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and Nothing shall BY ANY MEANS hurt you” In 2021 Nothing shall BY ANY MEANS hurt you/your loved ones! I love the words of Jesse Duplantis: “Put your foot on the devil’s neck by standing on the word of God, and you will see tremendous results.” The devil knows that he cannot bear that horrible pain of seeing you hear the word, believe the Word and confess the word (God’s promises for 2021). It even gets worse on when you act on the Words of God and start praising and rejoicing in the presence of God before the physical evidence of your testimony shows up!

That is why Satan will do his worst ro stop you from getting the Word.Stop Him before He Stops You. Get the Word Of God And Stand On It. Crush his Neck. Make these first few days of 2021, The Most Horrible Days That He Has Ever Seen. TOPIC: THE TAX YOU MUST PAY THIS YEAR: ENVY!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ECCLESIASTES 4: 1-8.

Ecclesiastes 4:4 says: “Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.” Did you get that? The scripture (see the underlined above) is saying that your hard work and your success (all travail, and every right work) will ATTRACT ENVY! Solomon was saying that he came to discover that every TRAVAIL (SACRIFICE) and right work (HARD WORK) only ends up turning you into an ENEMY of your neighbours. That means the more you rise in life and ministry, the more ENEMIES or ENVY you attract! That is why in this New Year 2021, you must know that NOT EVERYONE is HAPPY with you and you cannot PLEASE EVERYONE! In fact, once you begin to rise, be ready to change some of your friends! Yes! Once you begin to rise, be ready to STOP TELLING YOUR SECRETS to those you once called FRIENDS/FAMILY because your RISING will tum them to SECRETLY begin to PLOT YOUR DOWNFALL! This is because ENVY is worse than hatred! Few men have the natural strength to a friend’s success without envy.

Hear Aeschylus: “It is in the character of very few men to honour without envy a friend who has prospered.” HORACE noted. “The envious man grows lean at the success of his neighbour.” Some people will grow lean and develop incurable sickness because of your OPEN REWARD this year! That’s why Job 5:2 says: “For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.” This is the year of INCURABLE PAIN for your haters! Close with Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Envy Is the tax which all distinction must pay” I see an OPEN REWARD that will attract envy concerning your destiny this year! TOPIC: GOD DOES NOT WORK WITH A PERFECT ARMY!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 4: 16 - 22

Wow! Today is my spiritual BIRTHDAY – The day I got Born Again (February 3rd 1976 at about 4.45 pm)! It’s beena 45-year joumey of GRACE! Listen: I have discovered in 45 years that: God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply. When we face difficulties, we sometimes forget God’s past faithfulness and provision. We see only the detours and the current dangerous paths.

But look back and you will also see the joy of victory, the shocking SUPPLY that met your needs, the challenge of the dimb, and the presence of your travelling companion who has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. Vs, 17 of today’s scnpture says: “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations), before Him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Vs 18: “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.”

1 Corinthians I:26 says God did not call you because you are NOBIE (perfect). He chose the ignored, hopeless or those full of many battles as vessels THROUGH WHOM HE WILL DISPLAY HIS OPEN POWER! 2021 is that year when those considered NOT NOBLE, NOT PERFECT NOT GOOD ENOUGH, DELAYED, DEPRESSED, MOCKED, DESPISED, etc, will be used to show the world that JEHOVAH IS A REWARDER and He will do it openly! I am sent today to prophesy to you: “YOU WILL BE TAKEN from the back to the front and you will never end up in SSHAME! You that have been in the front, shall NEVER suffer DEMOTION.” Oh, thank you Jesus! That was why He decided to use the VAIN MEN of Jephthah and RAHAB to deliver Israel That was why He used the SELFISH RAVEN (not the EAGLE) to feed Elijah. Oh, that was why He chose the small army of Gideon to silence the vast amy of the enemy! He calls you great even when you are ginding! He calls you FRUITFUL with children even when you are childless! He calls you strong when you are weak! Yea, He calls you RICH even when you are in LACK. He calls the things that be not as though they are! He calls you ABRAHAM (father of a multitide) instead of a father of one (ABRAM). Ah! He calls you a DANGER and He rejoices over you with Singing even when all you see is DELAY (Zeph. 3: 17). Lift up your hands now and begin to call the things that be not as though they are! Then go on and praise Him as you shout 45 hallelujahs!

Welcome to today’s devotional with the God that has a plan for your Future! That is why He wants to speak to us about CHILDREN today. The LORD wants you to know that: It Iis easier to Build strong children than to REPAIR broken men. Yes! it is difficult to REPAIR ADULTS! In 2021, determine to be used by God to help children. We are also going to pray for all children and families believing God for children today. Note that children are a reflection of the kind of relationship that exists between a father and mother. If children are always aggressive, using abusive words, harsh and unkind to one another and to people outside the home, they got it from somewhere: their parents. The way a man treats his wife is perfectly mirrored by the way that man’s children treats people outside the house. Look at your Family/children today: what are they reflecting? Are you teaching them one thing by your words and teaching them another thing by your actions? Hear the words of Robert Fulghum, “Don’t worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you. What they see you do, they will pass on to others, consciously or unconsciously. Sometimes, we are tempted to say, THERE ARE NO BAD CHILDREN, ONLDY BAD PARENTS.” Close with this: Your children don’t owe you GRANDCHILDREN! Let them be, after marriage! If you want GRANDCHILDREN go and adopt. If you see your children reflect something that you do not like, the first place you should check is yourself. DID THEY GET IT FROM YOU? The question I always ask as I deal with people across the globe is: “When you pray, are you really praying? I ask this question because. Many People Think That They Are Praying When All That They Are Actually Doing Is Complaining. Be reminded that in Mark 5: 21-42, the one-sentence prayer of Jairus has two parts:

Part 1-“My little daughter lies at the point of death”,

Part 2- “But come and lay Your hands on her and she shall be healed and she shall live.”

Lots of people experience prayer failure because they end their prayers at the bus-stop of part one. All they do is tell God what problems they are faced with. You Need To Stop Telling God What You Have, And Start telling Him What You Want. Stop Telling God About the Greatness Of Your Goliath And Start felling Your Goliath About The greatness Of Our God (The battle of Words – today’s Scripture and also see Psalm 60: 12). That was what DAVID DID! Whenever you pray, make sure you are not complaining! He Already Knows What Your Problems Are Even Before You Knew You Had A Problem. Wow! All He Needs From You Now Is Your Voice Of Faith. If Your Voice Of Complaints Is Louder Than Your Voice of Faith, You CANNOT Command DIVINE ATTENTION! In this year 2021, adjust your prayer life and begin to receive GREATER answers for everything that you ever desire! Shalom!

Sometimes, God may DELAY His promises, but He does not DENY them! The greatest killer of HOPE/courage IS WHEN YOU FORGET God’s promises. Did He not say that His Word is YEA and AMEN? D.L. Moody penned: “God never made a promise that was too good to be true.” In 2021, always remember that God has never promised that this world will be a five-star hotel! See John 16: 33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” God’s promises are His 2021 DAILY OVERCOMING CAPSULES! Hear W.A. TOPIC : GIVEN OUT FOR ADOPTION! BRIBED TO STUDY.

BASIC SCRIPTURE: NEHEMIAH 6: 1 - 14

Mr Steve Jobs was born to Joanne Schieble (later Joanne Simpson) and Abdulfattah “John” Jandali, two University of Wisconsin graduate students. The couple gave up their unnamed son for adoption. According to a biography newsletter, Jobs’ father, Jandali, was a Syrian political science professor. His mother, Schieble, worked as a speech therapist. Shortly after Jobs was placed for adoption, his biological parents married and had another child, Mona Simpson. It was not until Steve Jobs was 27 that he was able to uncover information on his biological parents. SO HE WAS AN UNWANTED CHILD, BUT THANK GOD HE WAS NOT ABORTED! AS an infant, Jobs was adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs and they named him Steven Paul Jobs. Clara worked as an accountant and Paul was a Coast Guard veteran and machinıst. Jobs was born on February 24th, 1955, in San Francisco, California and they lived at Mountain View city, which is now called, SILICON VALLEY (the home of world social media). As a boy, Jobs and his father worked on electronics in the family garage. Paul showed his son how to take apart and reconstruct electronics, a hobby that instilled confidence, tenacity and mechanical prowess in young Jobs. Steve Job’s youth was füll of frustration With going to school. He played pranks like many of us did in elementary school due to a lack of interest. His pranks were so much that his fourth-grade teacher needed to bribe him to study. Wow! BRIBED TO STUDY! What the Holy Ghost wants you to know is that MOST GREAT STARS had a very ROUGH START Or along the way, THEY MET ROUGH OBSTACLES! This same Steve Jandali (later Steve Jobs) became an unforgettable icon on earth. TOPIC: LATE STEVE JOBS! HIS LAST WORDS!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ECCLESIASTES 12: 8 -14

The late Steven Paul Jobs was an American inventor, designer and entrepreneur who co-founded Apple Computers with Steve Wozniak Under Jobs guidance, the company pioneered a series of revolutionary technology, including the iPhone and iPad. Jobs died in Palo Alto on October 5, 2011, after battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade. He was 56 years old. In a eulogy for Jobs, his sister Mona Simpson wrote that just before dying, Jobs looked for a long time at his sister Patty, then his wife and children and said his last words: “OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.” However, some others have added that his last words were more than just, “OH WOW! OH WOW! OH WOW. “Unconfirmed” reports have said that he also wrote: “I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In other’s eyes, my life is an epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little joy. in the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. At this moment, lying on this Sickbed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death. You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you. Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost-“Life.” When a person goes into the hospital operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading- the “Book of Healthy Life.” Whichever stage in life we are in right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down. Treasure love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends…treat yourself well. Cherish others. As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $300 or S30 watch -they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a $300 or $30 wallet/ handbag- the amount of money inside is the same; whether we drive a $150,000 car or a $30,000 car, the road and distance is the same, and we get to the same destination.

Whether we drink a bottle of $300 or $10 wine – the hangover Is the same; whether the house we live in is $300 or 3000 sq ft – loneliness is the same. You will realize your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world. Whether you fly first or economy class, if the plane goes down – you go down with it…” indeed, whether those words came from him or not, today’s scripture, Verses 13-14 gives a complete summary/solution TO MAN’S VANITY PASSAGE through planet earth. “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Live your life with the word, “VANITY” in mind even as you plan daily because someday, you will enter that casket and be dipped 6ft deep in a lonely grave! Pray now.

Many years ago during the second world war, there was an Englishman who had been held in the prison camp for a long period. After reading and MEDITATING on Psalm 82:6 and Psalm 91:9, the Sprint or God inspired him and told him, “Rely on what you have read and GO HOME. Trust in the Lord MOST HIGHI” He got up and started walking out of the prison camp. As he walked through the corridor towards the prison gate, a guard called out, “Prisoner where are you going?” He replied with boldness, “I am under the protection of the Most High.” The guard kept shut immediately. In those days, Adolf Hitler was regarded as “Most High.” As he walked and guards called him to question him, he would shout with boldness, “I am under the protection of the Most Fiigh. As he did, the guards would stand at attention, salute him and let him pass! He made his way through the German prison camp and eventually reached England. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAME OUT OF THAT PRISON ALIVE! Oh, shout halleluiah because you are the NEXT the word will work for this year!

Oh, Psalm 82: 6 says: “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High.” MOST HIGH!! The shield of faith is a shield designed by the Most High!!! to protect His covenant children and servants through this wicked world. TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE DONKEYS UNIVERSITY!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 21: 1 - 11

Begin today’s devotional with this ALLEGORY (a story, poem or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral lesson). Two donkeys were walking in Jerusalem when one donkey said to the other, “Just yesterday I was here carrying Jesus and the people were singing and shouting and throwing down their clothes for me to walk on, and today they don’t even recognize me.” The other donkey replied, “that’s how it is my friend… Without Jesus you are nothing” Wonderful! This describes today’s scripture! They did not spread their garments for a cheap donkey! They did not cut down branches from trees because of a common donkey! THEY DID IT BECAUSE OF THE PERSON ON THAT DONKEY-JESUS Of Nazareth. He turned the ordinary donkey to an extraordinary celebrated donkey for a season! Halleluiah! Then verse 9 says: “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.” Hosanna is a Hebrew word meaning “save now” or “save us, we pray.” 2nd lesson: The multitude did not clap and sing Hosanna for the DONKEY! They sang and cut branches from palm trees (John 12: 13), for the ONE described as the HIGHEST. In this year 2021, set your eyes on THE HIGHEST! Without Him, you are just like an ordinary dusty donkey! Refuse to share His glory with Him. You are shining/popular because of Him! See what happened – By singing, “hosanna” as Jesus passed through the gates of Jerusalem and referring to David/ David’s kingdom, the Jews were acknowledging the LORD Jesus as their Messiah. They had waited a long time for the fulfilment of the Davidic Covenant (2 Samuel 7:1 Chronicles 17:11-14) and their shouts of “hosanna in the highest” was because they thought that their HOPE, their Messiah, had finally come to set up God’s kingdom. With all the miracles and signs/wonders, they were excited that A JEW had arrived on the scene to deliver them (Luke 19:11), but their MOTIVES WERE WRONG! The shout of “HOSANNA” by the crowd was (paraphrased): “Save us, our dear Messiah, David’s Son, who has come to fulfil God’s mission -our deliverance from the ROMANS! Save us, we beseech You, as You take Your rightful throne and extend heaven’s salvation to us! Sadly, the salvation that the people of Jerusalem wanted that day was political, not spiritual. They did not know that their political deliverance and the fulfilment of the Davidic Covenant was to happen in the future – at the second coming of Christ (Acts 1: 11). They forgot that before the LORD/ King Jesus could take care of their political problems, He had to take care of the sin problem first! So they shouted “HOSANNA” but lost an opportunity to accept the LORD. In 2021, you will not lose OPPORTUNITIES that God will send across to you! That was the reason why Jesus wept over Jerusalem in today’s 2 Scripture! May He not weep over you in 2021. Amen! Pray seriously now.

Many of us are favoured, blessed and talented but we lack a cupbearer to tell the king that there is a “Joseph” (YOU) that can interpret his dreams. In life, who you know matters a lot. Sometimes, even if you know NOBODY, God will connect you to those He wants to use in your life. This is because relationship is a currency! God can connect them to you in a million ways – through a crisis, trough a friend, a family member, through an “accidental” meeting, etc. There are heights and opportunities you will never attain if you don’t understand the power of keeping valuable relationships. For example, when they say. “Turn and greet your neighbour in church,” you don’t even know who you are talking to. That might be the CEO of a big or promising company. But sometimes, we despise people based on their outward looks and judge them wrongly. That person you sit with in class, or the colleagues at work that you look down on, may be the ones that will lead you to your destiny helper because you have no idea who they know. Sometimes, it takes just a recommendation to change your story. Don’t despise men in life. You will need them one day. This is because sometimes, those who crown kings don’t look like kings and may never become kings but they can help you wear your crown. That was the case of Joseph and the CUPBEARER in today’s scripture. Gen 41:9-10: “Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, ‘I do remember my faults this day: Pharaoh was wroth with his servants and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker.” So Joseph was mentioned to PHARAOH by this Butler (the executive CUPBEARER to the king) Remember that he forgot Joseph for years! Please don’t write off people because they forgot you. In God’stime, you will be unstoppable and they will be restless! Arise today and declare to God: “Let my CUPBEARER LOCATE ME in 2021. In this New year, you can look back on your life and begin to REMEMBER Some past mistakes or where some things went wrong. As billions are singing APPY NEW YEAR you can be tempted to look back at that ONE WRONG decision that led your life up to the point you’re at now. And even in this early year, your first response to that could be REGRET! Many people look back instead of looking forward and they Wish they had made a different choice. Satan can throw arrows of “IF I ONLY KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW.” Well, you did not know then some things you know now! Secondly you have made that mistake and you cannot UNDO what has been done! So, stop the REGRET AND SELF-PITY/SELF-BLAME game! Despite all the mistakes you have made, resist that arrow of “IF I ONLY KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW.” Stop singing that song! You may not have known some things then, because YOU ARE HUMAN, but now the HOLY GHOST is using today’s devotional to let you know that REGRET OF THE PAST IS A ROBBER OF THE JOY OF THE FUTURE! Even Jehovah God in His WISDOM, REGRETTED making man (Gen. 6: 6). Hear William J. Clinton: “If you live long enough, you’ lI make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you’ll be a better person. It’s how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit” Peter regretted his failure but moved on after bitter tears (Luke 22: 61-62). Your mouth is a WAREHOUSE of RAW MATERIALS for CREATING and MANUFACTURING WHATEVER YOU DESIRE! It is a WAREHOUSE OF MIRACLES! Wow! I remember Edgar Allan Poe: “Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.” They can IMPRESS or OPPRESS! Oh, Words! In this year 2021, be careful what you say. You can say something terrible in 20 seconds, but twenty years later, the wounds are still there! Words are seeds that do more than blow around. V 29 of today’s Word says: “Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” VS. 30 says: “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is Iight.” Did you get that? THE LORD HAS A YOKE and a BURDEN (load) YOU MUST CARRY after YOU DROP SATAN’S YOKE! His Yoke is EASY and His Burden is light. That means after being BORN AGAIN, there are certain things you CANNOT DO AGAIN they are called YOKES AND BURDENS because your FLESH desires them but YOU CAN NOT DO THEM AGAIN. They ane called YOKES AND BURDENS because OTHERS may do them, BUT YOU CANNOT DO THEM. Others may talk, dress, do business, etc, anyhow BUT YOU CANNOT. Once you are BORN AGAIN, there MUST be a difference between you and others who are not. YOUR LIFE MUST BE AN EXAMPLE and a LIGHT! That is the YOKE on you! You cannot keep grudges and remain in unforgiveness the way you used to. You must let go and let God. You cannot go to the places you used to go to anymore and you cannot remain with the wrong people as your best friends anymore. But See the difference: Satanic YOKES are heavy and they reduce you. DIVINE YOKES are EASY AND LIGHT because HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! Hear Oswald Chambers:

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 91: 1 - 12

There is the story of a soldier who was at a war front and been confessing today’s psalm day and night. He kept declaring Verse 2 of today’s scripture: “I WILL SAY OF THE LORD, ‘HE IS MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS: MY GOD, IN HIM WILL I TRUST.” This is the foundation of the tonic for divine protection! This is something you should say EVERYDAY. Train your children to confess this Psalm EVERYDAY. It will build an IMMUNITY VACCINE (impenetrable shield) of protection around you and your family in times of danger. On a particular day when the firefight was very hot, a fellow soldier on this man’s team Was driving the truck and he hit him, the truck rode over his arm and it crushed his wristwatch. The only thing that got damaged was his wristwatch! No one could explain it! HEVWAS COVERED! The LORD has used this Psalm a lot to speak to you in this edition. THE WORD, LIKE MEDICINE, IS NEVER TOO MUCH even when repeated! Listen: You cannot wait for the danger to come before you start declaring it. DANGER WILL NOT INFORM YOU THAT IT IS COMING IN YOUR DIRECTION. JUST PREPARE! Oh, hear the story of a man of God by the name John G. Lake. He immersed himself in Psalm 91 everyday. Hear his words,

“for many years, God Kept me so that sicknesss and death could not touch me – from the day that I saw in the ninety-first psalm a man’s privilege of entering into God, not only for healing but health and having God and the life of God in every fiber of his being.”

He took fraught (foam from a sick person that is convulsing) from the BUBONIC PLAGUE (a deadly plague that killed thousands of people in South Africa in the 1900s) in his hand and placed it under a microscope. People watched in amazement as the germs died instantly. HE WAS COMPLETELY COVERED! This is your year! ln this pandemic worldwide and fear of a 2nd or 3rd wave still in many countries, confess God’s divine protection VACCINE (the Word) over yourself everyday, and you will be free from every EVIL! TOPIC : LESSONS FROM THE GRAVEYARD!

Sometimes, some people describe their lives this way: CRUEL as death and HUNGRY as the GRAVE! Yes, the GRAVE is HUNGRY and never satisfied, but do you know that some spend a whole life digging their graves? When you WORRY Over what you cannot change, you are digging your grave! When you are BITTER and live in UNFORGIVENESS, u are digging your grave! When you contend against a prophet of God, you are digging your grave! Yes! When you dishonor your parents or their memory, you are a grave digger! When you want to live like an island. you are digging a deep grave for yourself! Even the LORD Jesus called Lazarus from the grave but He asked for the people around Him to help move the stone and remove the grave clothes. If Jesus could call Lazarus from the grave, couldn’t He have commanded that rock to move from the front of the gravesite and it would have moved? Yes! Here are three lessons from the graveyard: “Life is too short” In this early year, 2021, walk around a graveyard once in a while. There you will see babies, teenagers, young kids in their 20’s or below fill that place. People who probably spent most of their time here, worrying about bills Wondering about what they’re going to do with their lives, who they’re going to marry, who/what they will become, etc. Then before they know it, life takes them away from this planet. Leaving their family crushed, leaving those bills unpaid, literally killing any future that they spent so much time worryng about. “Enjoy the people you have; one day God’s going to need them back.” Live your life for you and no one else! Ultimately, death is inevitable. When we are in the ground, and our family is staring at the patch of grass that covers our coffins, and the nice, shiny stones that sit on it, do you want them to look at all you have left of this world and think. “He/she never spent time or cared about us? Be fearless. Be bold. Make a difference. A graveyard shows you just how much you have to be thankful for, good or bad. AT LEAST YOU ARE ALIVE! Don’t let people say about you: “She/he had so much potential: he/she could have done so much.” Determine to make an impact Don’t wait until it’s too late; don’t spend six months in a graveyard full of regret. Get up and be beautiful, be bold, be determined- never-quitting person. generation. God created you to leave a mark for your generation. Dust yourself off and move on. You will overcome! This is your year.

V2 of today’s scripture says: “And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.” V. 3 says: “So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.” Then Vs. 4 says: “Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.” Note: it was burned with fire! WHAT YOU GET AFTER THE FIRE IS ASHES! DAVID SAT ON ASHES INSTEAD OF A SWING CHAIR OF RELAXATION! Ashes stand for shame, past glory, ONCE-UPON-A-TIME (ICHABOD) experience, defeat, losses, demotion, pain, anguish regrets, failure, delays, etc. So, DAVID and his men met ASHES and they WEPT TILL THEY HAD NO MORE POWER TO WEEP BECAUSE the beauty of Ziklag was gone! In this year 2021, the LORD says to 12, 780 users of today’s devotional, ‘I SHALL RESTORE YOUR BEAUTY AND GLORY which was REPLACED BY ashes-SHAME AND DEMOTION’! There are 18 ODM users that LOST their testimonies after giving it openly. The LORD says, ‘I SHALL RESTORE that testimony’! 1.148 ODM users have become ONCE. UPON-A-TIME: the LORD says ‘TIME IS UP for your tormentors, and I shall raise you again’! ALL THAT DAVID SAW WAS ASHES! The children were gone! The Wives were gone! The buildings and animals (businesses) were burnt! AND THE 600 MEN WHO HE CALLED HIS “FRIENDs” ALL TURNED AGAINST HIM- LOYALTY CRISIS. The Ashes phase of your life shows you who your friends really are! But Vs. 8 is clear on the fact that your last bus-stop cannot be ASHES but BEAUTY: “And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” RECOVERING ALL shall be your story this year! BEAUTY shall replace ashes! FAME SHALL REPLACE SHAME! Promotion will replace demotion! Testimonies will show up to silence perpetual trials! Yes, in 2021, you are getting up from the ashes of delay or losses and there shall be BEAUTY for ASHES! TOPIC: LORD, HIDE ME FROM THEIR EVIL ARROWS!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 64: 1-10

Verses 2-4 of today’s scripture says, “Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked… who whet their tongue like a sword and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.” But Verse 7 says: “But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.” That shall be your story this year! SUDDENLY Shall your haters be wounded! As I read this part of today’s scripture, I’m reminded of the man Joseph. Again and again, his brothers shot at him. The Wicked Can Come From Anywhere And At Anytime. The Wicked That Rose Against Joseph Came From His Own Household. His Brothers That Were supposed To Uphold Him And Help Him Become A Man Of Honour And Greatness set Themselves Against His Welfare And Advancement. Don’t Be Naive! They shot at him again and again, but Jehovah was watching over this little boy. He knew how to take their evil arrows and turn it into ladders to greater heights for His anointed one. They shot arrows of death at him, but out of the blue, someone said, “Why should we kill him, why not sell him to these Ishmaelites…” God will raise a VOICE for you this year! The shooting of arrows continued in Potiphar’s house. The wife of Potiphar set herself against Joseph. Day and night she seduced Joseph, but God kept him. Always remember that the bigger your star, the bigger your scars (battles)! I decree concerning you today: The same hands of grace, mercy and power that kept Joseph from all harm and evil will keep you in 2021. It will preserve you from every attack. It will secure you and secure your destiny. That mighty Hand will shoot its fiery arrow at every wicked man, woman and demon that is arrayed against you and paralyse them forever, in Jesus mighty name. Amen! Pray NOW!

The name “Jephthah” means “TO OPEN and “TO SET REE.” He was driven away by his brethren because they felt he was UNQUALIFIED to share in their father’s inheritance! That same Jephthah later became their ruler and he “INHERITED” THE WHOLE NATION OF ISRAEL as their king! Wow! DESTINY CAN BE DELAYED BUT NEVER DENIED! His name spoke for him! God set him free from the evil label of his brethren and OPENED HIS DOOR! May your door and GREATER DOORS open this year! May your MOCKERS be alive to see your RISlNG and may your life DISAPPOINT THEIR EXPECTATIONS! Rahab was also considered as UNQUALIFIED and DIRTY-A PROSTITUTE, but MERCY was shown to her because she helped to hide the spies that were sent from Israel. Oh, RAHAB was a woman of destiny! Why was her pub or “beer palour” Situated by the gate? DESTINY! If she was located deep inside Jericho, she may NEVER have MET THE SPIES! In this year 2021, may you meet the right people at the right time and at the right place in Jesus name. The God who took away the EVIL LABEL from RAHAB will operate you this year and OPENLY REWARD YOU with a new NEW IRRESISTIBLE LABEL (Joshua 2: 1-7). NEVER JUDGE A B0OK BY THE COVER! YOU CAN DO IT - 2

BASIC SCRIPTURES: JOSHUA 2: 1 - 7;
HEBREWS 11: 30 - 34

Hebrews 11: 33 says, “Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions..” Note the words: “SUBDUED KINGDOMS… OBTAINED PROMISES.” The kingdom (powers) they subdued means they CONQUERED every OPPOSITION, HARDSHIP, CHALLENGE, ENEMY, etc, and they moved on against ALL ODDS to obtain their goals. Apart from Biblical examples, l am led to use a few practical examples to encourage you. Against ALL ODDS, they defeated their challenges: From late Stephen Hawking, a man who was in a wheelchair who couldn’t speak but was one of the most intelligent people in the world, to Francesco Clark, a quadriplegic and CEO of a huge beauty product company, don’t ever think that a disability (or SETBACK) is equal to failure, shame and pain. As 2021 begins, consider more examples below:

Demosthenes was one of the most robust and influential speakers of all time. At the tender age of 11, he tried to commit suicide; however; he survived. He used to Sit by the beach for hours, with pebbles in his mouth. Eventually, he became one of the most admired orators in history. From SUICIDE TO WORLD CLASS SUCCESS! That will be your story too! Against all ODDS, your God will showcase you in an OPEN REWARD style! Christy Brown was an Irish writer and painter who had cerebral palsy and was able to write or type only with the toes one foot. He was a celebrity author for his autobiography titled: “My Left Foot” (1954). Did you get that? He used one foot to RULE HIS WORLD! Nothing can stop you if you don’t stop yourself! Kahlo suffered from polio. Despite her physical disability, she was one of the most celebrated painters in all of Mexico. Her paintings majorly included self-portraits, landscape and figments of imagination. DANCER Sudha Chandran had a terrible accident one time that resulted in the amputation of her right leg. Despite the crushing disability, Chandran emerged as one of the most acclaimed and influential classical dancers in India. The stories of the above personalities prove only one important fact – it takes more than courage to face the adversities to win over and be victorious. Charles, the former president of GE Electronics, once said, “No matter what the size of the bottle is, the cream always rises to the top.”Don’t give up now! Stop crying! Stop that depression! Don’t give up now! Hold on to God! This is your year!

TOPIC: WHY HE REFUSED THE MYRRH!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: MARK 15: 20 - 32

Matthew records that as Jesus went to the cross, “They gave Him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when He had tasted thereof, He would not drink” (Matthew 27:34). Mark described the drink as wine mingled with myrrh (Mark 15:23). As a pharmacist, I know that VINEGAR is a sour tasting acetic acid drink and MYRRH IS A PAIN RELIEVER (an analgesic); it also has anti-inflammatory effects and reduces body weight, etc.
From tests on mice, chemists at the University of Florence in Italy, have found that molecules in myrrh act on the brain’s opioid receptors, explaining its PAIN KILLING ACTION! The drink offered to Jesus was a cheap Roman vinegar wine, MIXED WITH A DRUG (MYRRH) to dull the senses. It was the custom of the Romans to offer a man being crucified DRUGGED WINE so that he might more easily endure his cross. Jesus refused the wine however, apparently so that He could go through His suffering with a clear mind AS A HUMAN BEING and this was to enable Him TAKE YOUR PAIN! Wow!

Yes! He was both God and MAN, so He needed to FEEL YOUR PAIN as a man! As He neared death, Jesus said, “I thirst!” (John 19: 28). One of the prominent effects of crucifixion was DEHYDRATION which leads to a STRONG DESIRE FOR WATER (THIRST) due to the loss of body fluids through open body wounds and perspiration. The LORD refused the Vinegar mixed with MYRRH (Mark 15: 23) but He took the ordinary Vinegar (John 19: 29). He took the ordinary SOUR (acidic) VINEGAR because at the point of death, He needed to say His final words: His parched lips and throat needed moisture, so He accepted the vinegar; but rejected the one that would make Him not to feel your PAIN!

So, in this year 2021, always know that the God who TOOK YOUR PAIN will never DENY YOU ANYTHING GOOD! Use today’s devotional to worship Him and re-fire your CONFIDENCE in Him! 2021 is your year! TOPIC: WHEN YOUR ZIKLAG IS BURNT, ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: HEBREWS 10: 30 - 36;
1 SAMUEL 30: 6

Just imagine this: You returned from a 3-day long journey and discovered that your village or house had been burnt to the ground! Not a person or house was in sight. Your bedroom was gone! All livestock and other animals were gone too. Your heart beats so fast as if it will fall from your chest.

Then you discovered that your enemies – The Amalekites had over run your village, burning everything that couldn’t be transported. ALL THEY LEFT BEHIND WERE ASHES which they could not transport! Yet in the midst of that pain, Vs. 6 says: “And David was greatly distressed; for the spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” HOW DID HE ENCOURAGE HIMSELF IN THE LORD? Perhaps Heb. 10: 32 (Today’s scripture) was David’s secret: “But call to remembrance the former days, in which (or when) you endured a great struggle with suffering…” The word “REMEMBRANCE” is the key.

When the enemy burns down your ZIKLAG, when battles you did not plan for show up, when your enemies seem to be winning, when men have betrayed you or when DELAY and mockery is now your name, always catch this secret: “REMEMBER THE PAST! REMEMBER WHAT GOD HAS DONE IN THE PAST! And if He did it before, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN. That was DAVID’S secret of ENCOURAGING HIMSELF IN THE LORD! It means He REMEMBERED what his God had done before and he knew his last bus-stop would not be ASHES or WEEPING BUS-STOP! Oh!

Always remember when God answered a prayer and gave you a blessing that was awesome! Remember when you thought the last trial was the absolute worst; and yet you overcame it? Remember? Wow! Encourage yourself with it! Remember when and how you first became a Christian. Hook to some precious memories. These memories are a treasure house! Use them when encouragement is needed. Psalm 77:11 says: I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember Thy wonders of old. Did you get that? That was DAVID’s secret… (To be continued tomorrow).
