I have listened with keen interest the new song being played by Buhari fans on NL concerning the voting patter in the North. Before the NASS elections, the song was that CPC would sweep the entire elective offices in the North. However, following their dismal performance in the NASS elections, the song has now changed to ‘tis election was between PDP’s Musa and CPC’s Musa and thats why it didn’t matter to the people who they voted’ and that ‘Presidential elections would be between PDP’s Moses and CPC’s Musa’.

With this kind of song, it appears that either the scales have not yet fallen from the eyes of SOME Buhari supporters or they prefer to wallow in self delusion. If it was about Musa and Musa, how come the people in Katsina preferred the CPC Musas while Kano and Sokoto people preferred PDP’s Musa to CPC Musas.

Obviously, most buhari supporters do not understand the basics of politics. Otherwise they would have known that all the elected senators and Reps from the North would rather work with a president from their party than a president from CPC. One reason for this is that a CPC president would be constrained to compensate the CPC members that lost with appointments in order to build their political clout while with a PDP president, the Northern PDP senators-elect would have more opportunities to compensate their followers who voted for them. Besides, how is CPC going to reach the people in the villages in the North who voted for Umbrella last week and let them know that this week it would be the sword when they have no elected councillor or offices in these places?

Simply put: the NASS results indicates how far CPC and Buhari can go. i.e CPC is imbibed in Buhari’s state and have a few sympathizers within the North. That was how the votes went on Saturday; that is how it would on Saturday.

Gbam! Bros you have said it all. While we shall remember Buhari for contributing to reduce the powers of PDP, we will not be needing him for the rest of the journey to transformation.

Goodluck, Unlike Obasanjo was not afraid to allow the people decide, and that they have done. Jonathan does not need a 90% landslide, but a simple majority that reflects free and fair election considering the diversity of our Nation.

U forgot 2 add that even in katsina, PDP clinched 2 house of reps seats, also the ANPP seems to be doing better than the CPC. Bottomline, rally crowds don't win elections, 'sai buhari' dosen't win elections.
