I applied for a Policing job with Thames Valley Police in the UK in 2019. Initially it was rejected, but just 2 days ago I received a mail from them with an offer.

Pls tell me how its like working as a Police officer in the UK. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

You need to know people have connects.

And take a proper look at the requirements again aside the "you must be a UK citizen"

Or you didn't see the "or" if you are a foreign national and have no restriction in living and working g in the UK?

Connection indeed, connection does not work here as this is not Nigeria, you need to be a citizen , EU national or ILR holder to be eligible .

Have you ever seen any police authority around the world recruiting a foreigner who doesn’t reside in that country legally with right to work?

Only military does that

I created this to know the advantages and disadvantages of working in the UK as a police officer which I've been offered offer already. The only thing I need to do is to be in the country and the process of application is complete.

I wonder why in a platform like this where there are millions of people, just a pinch of such would be acting like they known it all and have seen it all.

I don't need to show you too much details as per the job since I'm not soliciting for funds.

If you know what you know, keep it. Don't trample on peoples experiences and what they know too.

The residency part though, I don't understand that part.

"Applicants must have resided in the UK for three continuous years immediately prior to application"

From the mail sent. There is a waiver of 2 years. This means you should have lived in the UK for 12months.

However, I am getting a direct entry and the 1 year won't be an issue.
