The one story that I heard about him that comes to mind was that when he was Chief of Defense Staff, Abacha (who was then Chief of Army Staff) derisively referred to him as “a general without an army”. Once Abacha assumed power shortly thereafter, he promptly retired Dogonyaro. > |

I remember vividly I was among those who felt Buhari is a principled man, and the one man who could improve security in Nigeria. I was not expecting much from him in terms of economy. Hmmmm! But he failed even in his area of specialization. They said he has masters degree in strategic military security. Which kind of nonsense strategy this man has we are seeing? The real issue with this Buhari....hmmmm. his only problem here is that he failed to resign. He is old and cannot do this thing, but allowed his good name to be tarnished cos of power. Well, Buhari destroyed himself. I think I believe the Sahara Reporter story that he has dementia. If not, this is not the Buhari we know na. Ha ba! But this man allowed power to enter his head.
