Evil was removed from Nigeria in 1985, then Babangida and subsequently Abacha followed. Do you any idea of the trajectory Nigeria took afterward. Are you aware Babangida contributed to the proliferation of both official and individual corruption that has held Nigeria in manacle ever since, ruining public institutions and wrecking the nation's international reputation? Are you aware of the level of human right violation perpetrated by Abacha.? Do you know how Abacha converted the gain of oil boom to his personal wealth? Come on, young man. Do you know that Babangida ushered in the total neglect of public education system, even to the basic level? How he allowed secondary teacher to go on months of strike over unpaid salary, something that lasted for over close to four years?

The one story that I heard about him that comes to mind was that when he was Chief of Defense Staff, Abacha (who was then Chief of Army Staff) derisively referred to him as “a general without an army”. Once Abacha assumed power shortly thereafter, he promptly retired Dogonyaro.

You got it wrong sir. Dogonyaro was Abacha's junior, so he never held the position of CDS above Abacha. The time he was CDS was briefly during Shonekan's ING. At that time, it was his course mate, General Gusau who was the Chief of Army staff, not Abacha. Abacha was the 'Secretary of Defense' at the time, making him the next in hierarchy to Chief Ernest Shonekan who was the head of government.
