Stop exaggerating, can you leave your child with a python when you see one, Can a child hold down that big goat or control the goat as he wish? If the answer is no how come that your gentle python was able to swallow the goat and it couldn't escape?
For clarity purpose, a python become weak and need to stay at a particular place for a reasonable time after it must have swallowed it's food especially when the food is big compared with the size of the python. At that point, it become a little easier to kill but despite that, one still has to be careful not to becomes the Python's second victim.

IMO, they shoudnt Have killed it instantly, that is if it was captured alive. A python that just swallowed a prey is completely harmless. Do you know 5min amateur documentary on that snake would fetch you in youtube
