Other Countries are building super sonic jets, we are still depending on countries deceiving us with jets using propellers.

Why won't Boko Haram gun them down?

This is how you get 4ked when you don’t practice safe sex , now the Nigerian army is getting 4ked because BH fighters are using pocket drones and weapons they don’t have in their inventory, close air support is not buying aircrafts that shelkas (AAA) guns would pick out of the sky like a teen girl getting raped by a 10 foot monster, get a warthog dummies !

The reason the lawmakers went there is that they have been putting a lot of pressure on the Nigerian Air Force to deliver. They say that they've approved money for the Air Force to buy the planes, but they haven't seen any planes. Some of them have even been accusing the Air Force of stealing the money. So the Air Force took them there to see things for themselves.

Don't you know how laughable this sounds? So, all they went there to do was to confirm that there was an aircraft? And sorry, how many of them travelled to carry out this physical verification?

There was no other way to confirm this purchase other than fly half way across the world?

No receipts, no communication with the company that sold the plane, they couldn't follow the purchase records? They had to do photoshoot with the aircraft first?

All I see is a bunch of lawmakers using taxpayers money to fund a meaningless journey to the US.

Nice effort so far by the Buhari's government but let's step up to the F-I6 and other supersonic jets class. Tucanos can easily be shot down by surface to air missiles from BH terrorists

BH doesn't have SAMs. They're hard to get.

Anyway, I've previously said that I'm not going to argue about military procurement on Nairaland. A lot of people view these things as if they are writing a comic book fantasy or a Hollywood movie.

If you talk about procuring ships they'll post about aircraft carriers. What do you want to use aircraft carriers for?? These are the same people that will complain if we get involved in the crisis in Gambia or conflict in Mali!

If you write about procuring warplanes they'll immediately start talking about nuclear bombers or the most advanced fighter jets. What on earth are we using them for?? Where do you want to get the money from??

You see, for these people it's all about comic book and super hero type fantasies.

CSTRR:

Whoever advised the airforce to get tucanos is an idiot.

They are used when you have completely secured the airspace.

And that is not something we can guarantee in the North East.

We should have used that money to get few more supersonic jets, preferably Russian.

$1b for subsonic luxuries.
Crazy.

Stop talking and thinking like crap. Is there any threat to our air space? Do BH or ISWAP own any aircraft? If your answer is no then this comment of yours is as useless as they come
