No much has changed. If you compare land size, population and revenue generation, the east is still getting x5 of what it should be getting.

You are a talkative, most men who talk too much are empty. In my culture as a Bini man it is unseemly for a man to talk too much . Everyone finds a man who talks too much as disgusting.

Its only shows that Western region of Nigeria is the economy or financial hub of the country.
No b me talk ham oooo. The statistics are there to proved to us that the region (West) is the best and that is why we are calling for restructuring.

Revenues generated per region.
No surprise. The SW was supporting the rest of the artificial entity called Nigeria single-handedly until the SS took up most of the load after 1970. Exclude oil revenues and the majority of all economic activity in Nigeria has always been concentrated in the SW, from banking to industrial production to journalism and entertainment, and (nowadays) to telecoms and IT. This is the real reason why even traders from the SE prefer to use the congested Apapa ports rather than the fully functional Onne port under Intels management, not because of any supposed "favoritism" towards the SW. A Federal Government that truly favored the SW would renounce all control of the ports and allow external management like the ones that run Antwerp or Singapore to buy out and overhaul it root to branch.

Interesting, so The Eastern region produced the least revenue pre independence, yet the people that produced the least, will be shouting the most? Figures don’t lie.

If no one will praise the western region, I definitely will.

West has been marginalized even before independence, yet we aren't crying everywhere.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo, you are the best of the best, ever!
Exactly
Whenever they shout marginalisation
I shout READ HISTORY!
2020Experience:
All this Yorubas here are really stupid. Then Eastern Region involved all the Southern States we have now as South South. Eastern Region is oil producing region, so you see why it was like that? Well you westerners must cry blood from your eyes. Nigeria is disintegrating sooner or later. Be ready to make your region what you want. Easterners aren’t begging for unity. Besides the documents are fake. Yorubas only live by propaganda and cunning is their destinies so we aren’t surprise anytime they throw in their nature of propaganda.
Oil was discovered in 1956 and wasn't exploited until much after
Lie with shame
pseudaria:

You are a very big fool. The east in colonial times refers to all the SE states, SS states parts of Benue and Kogi.
And how much was the BIG EAST generating?

Look what west achieved with the little allocation, awolowo was a great leader, despite the huge difference in allocation, north and east couldn't achieve what awolowo achieved, in sw they were generation x3 of what they generate in east/North yet they gave west little

Cocoa money developed the Eastern region during the colonial period.
The western region have had to bear a lot of Injustice for a very long time. The British ensured that the the region with the highest revenue received the least allocation because they believed the western region was self sustaining while others with the least source of revenue received greater share of allocation to help them develop.
How else would you explain SW receive the lowest allocation of a ridiculous sum of £500 in a year?

Literally, Southwest developed the whole Nigeria with Cocoa revenue.
As a matter of fact, Southwest developed Southern Cameroon. From records, Southern Cameroon generated almost nothing but received much more allocation.
Southwest is the giant of Africa.
