Why would the authorities then use the video for propaganda? The job of the Police is to investigate, arrest and charge to court. Their job is not to politicise matters.

Would the authorities have released this video had this suspect said that IPOB was innocent? Of course not. Do you think this guy would say these things in a court of law if he was told by the courts that it would lead to him spending the rest of his life in jail?

This was a pure hatchet job to criminalise IPOB. It is quite disgraceful if the police release a confessional video, even before the suspect is charged to court for the court to determine the veracity of what the suspect is saying
