Lol that's diplomacy and non-aligned tactics. Benin Republic would have sent him here since if they do not hold a protective obligatorily view. They will never send him to Nigeria. Obviously they have a proper understanding of the issues than before now. They know he is being unjustly persecuted and are aware that these demons that call themselves FG have less than 3 years to go. Thinking they would strain their relationship with Yorubas who are mostly their kith is impossible.

They must however not appear to be on his side to the press outrightly like that. Igboho will be most likely sentence there but it's actually to indirectly offer him protection & mild exile. By the time Buhari and his minions fizzle out, he will return more popular, loved and influential than ever before. He's going to be a guest of Benin government for now.

Matthew Kerekou, former Beninoise President used to come to Abeokuta regularly. He was very very close to Obasanjo as they both share Christian names.
Boni Yayi succeed Kerekou as President of Benin. Boni Yayi is a descendant of the Yoruba princes of Sabe. Boni Yayi and his wife are traditional title holders from Ile Ife.
When the FOOLanis are tired of fooling themselves, they will go sit down in the desert.
Buhari is the worst thing that has ever befallen Fulanis but they don't know it yet.

It is no longer news that Nigeria banned the import of rice and some other goods coming into the country from Benin republic which of course had dealt a serious blow on the economy of this small west African nation .

But with Sunday Igboho arrest and knowing how far Buhari could go to lay his hands on the Yoruba nation freedom fighter, The Benin republic government may want to go on a round table negation with the Nigerian government to trade the Yoruba nation agitator for full Benin republic and Nigerian border re-opening.

My opinion tho .
You are right. This is how it is going to play out.

Thank you. In fact I'm happy with these happenings. It has opened another phase of inter relationship between Yoruba in Benin and Yoruba. This is a momentum that should be sustained and nurtured.

Before Buhari was born, Yorubas have always been relating with our brothers transnationally, after Buhari goes, we will still keep relating with them. A thousand Buharis can't stop that. Buhari is lesser than a dot in a circle.

Continue crying and wasting your time on Igboho when your lord and savior, Kanu Nnamdi the monkey is languishing in DSS underground dehumanize cell and the state of his living is uncertain, whereas igboho is already receiving the support of both leaders in Nigeria and Benin republic.
Kanu is dead, bro. They're working hard to build his clone before 21st October. That's what they'll present to the court. The original is gone for good.

We will burn any product that passes through Benin if they do that deal. We expect him to be out as soon as possible. Whatever deal they want to do they should be careful otherwise they will be the loser. Buhari will be out in two years we will never forgive or forget. I urge Benin government not to get involved, pick sides that they share a lot with simple.

It won't work.

No negotiation anywhere. Igboho is a Beninuan, his late grandmother was a native of Igholo in Benin Republic.

Next time when quoting, direct your questions to me and stop involving others.

To your question, the first benefit is for Igboho himself..

Buhari can't do Igboho a thing than putting him in prison while his charges would be presented to him, which law he broke and minimum years of sentencing

That's where the negotiation will come in from both Igboho and FG before considering is bail condition.

The SW political leaders can not allow Igboho to be incarcerated for long considering the region's ambition about 2023..

Why is Igboho afraid of being repatriated to Nigeria?

If Igboho had been allowed to interfere in the farmers/herdsmen crisis, the case would have been escalated by now by bringing more confusion and chaos while Igboho would have absconded this same way...

Put igboho in prison because of he did what?? Are u listening to urself?? undecided

Why is pantami and gumi not in prison? Ask urself this question. undecided

Relax, the Benin govt are not stupid. They and Sunday Igboho are fighting herdsmen. In fact, Benin republic killed some herdsmen and plenty cattle in 2020. It was the herdsmen chased from Benin republic that are currently constituting a nuisance in Yewa part of Ogun state.

It’s one thing to open borders it’s another thing for the people if that country to patronize u after betraying an innocent man and them with a toxic and dictatorship styled government.

I don’t think any right thinking government would trade off an innocent man for political favors. This is beside other international backlashes they haven’t yet envisaged.
