Why I Dumped PDP For Accord – Maduka by Kingosytex(m): 12:07am On Aug 12, 2021
Dr. Godwin Maduka, a former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant in Anambra State, has explained why she dumped the party for Accord.

Maduka, a US-based pain management expert and owner of Las Vegas Pain Institute, said he left the PDP because they showed signs of unseriousness.

He addressed a press conference in Awka, where he was formally received into Accord.

Maduka, who is now the new governorship candidate of Accord, said that he was disappointed when in just one day during the primary election day, the list of delegates changed three times, leading to his loss of the ticket of the PDP.
He said: “I have no problem with PDP, they are still my friends, a lot of the members are now here (Accord) with me, and I know that on that election day, they will vote for me.

“I was also a sympathiser with APGA (All Progressives Grand Alliance), and I know the governor, and he and many of them remain my friends. I decided to leave PDP and look for a party that I can work with. I know my chairman in Accord, and my chairman knows me. I decided to choose the people I can work with.
"I was already going to win the ticket of the PDP, and the Adhoc and statutory delegates were ready to vote for me, but unfortunately, the PDP decided to do selection instead of election. On the day of the primary election, the delegates list changed three times, and at the end, they disenfranchised all the Adhoc and statutory delegates and used what they called super delegates list.

On the day of the primary election, the delegates list changed three times, and at the end, they disenfranchised all the Adhoc and statutory delegates and used what they called super delegates list.

“When that happened, I decided I will look for another party because the PDP did not seem to me like they were serious. It was in the process of searching for a new party that I found Accord.”

Maduka, a philanthropist who changed the face of his community, Umuchukwu in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State by single handedly building infrastructures also promised to end medical tourism in the state if elected.

He said, “As a medical doctor, I am already making plans to ensure that world class medical facilities exist in Nigeria, so that medical tourism can end.”

He also unveiled his running mate, Mr Keneth Obi, who he described as a grassroots politician in the state.

“When that happened, I decided I will look for another party because the PDP did not seem to me like they were serious. It was in the process of searching for a new party that I found Accord.”

He lost? that's sad, seemed promising.
Jumping to a lesser party doesn't help anyone. He should have just closed shop and stayed in PDP but nigerian mentality would never allow the acceptance of a process that doesn't favor you

Now this is a man with balls, they made away with his money fraudulently, cheated him during the primaries and he left them all to God, and peacefully joined Accord party that recognise what he wants to offer Anambra

The cover of darkness hovering over this country is just too much that any attempt made by someone to offer good and help the masses would be frustrated.
I still think that this man is the best candidate for Anambrarians.
It's just a pity that he's not gonna win. In Nigeria, evil rules over good.

Political parties are platform or vehicles to public office, if a car is broken and you must reach your destination, then you need to board another.

I thought it's illegal for a candidate to participate in two primaries for the same election? That's basically why Okorochas inlaw is not the governor of Imo state as we speak...

Most candidates will claim they would have won.
No one buys a ticket to lose.

I feel Maduka may be well-known and celebrated in his village , but not in Anambra at large.
Or may be known in Anambra because if the gigantic structure he built.

Before people start quoting me, know the likes of Ibeto, Chikason, Innoson etc. have made even more impact to better the lives of Anambra people.

No one will take him to court for now...
Unless he wins (which is likely not possible).

And don't be surprise, if he wins, Alex will be the one to sue him grin

You think otyer candidates didn't spend money too?

That Maduka is brought on social media regularly (more than others) does not mean he spent more than others

This man is another power hungry Nigerian individual. I understand he wants to help his people but there are many ways to do this without getting involved in this dirty politics that will destroy his good name.

I believe he has 2nd motive because politics is a big business in Nigeria. Please don’t tell me his net worth because I know Dangote is still looking for more money.
