Someone asked sometime ago how more educated Southerners are being ruled by seemingly less educated North. And I told him the answer is money. Southern leaders sell out.

Having signed the PIB into law, money would be used to quiet everybody in the South including the very Niger Delta leaders. Given freedom or slavery, Niger Deltans ironically prefer to be slaves under Nigeria anywhere.

There’s nothing they can do, democracy is about numbers and the North have the highest numbers in both Chambers, so they can easily pass the law even if the ND reps oppose. The worst they can do is walk out of the chamber. The North easily gets support from the west, so even if the North numbers is not enough, with a few support from the west, it’s a done deal.

The former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from Niger Delta Region couldnt foster the passage of the bill. President Buhari who is from Daura Northern part of them country came and foster the bill, and the bill was passed into law yesterday.

That bill as been there for the past 16yrs of PDP rule nothing was done.
This man from Daura made the bill fruitful for both Nigeria and the Delta Region people.

The good thing is that someone has assented to the bill. As time goes on someone from your Region will increase the percentage from 3 to 5 percent.

But for now just thank God that the bill has been passed and drop that hatred for that man!

Let’s stop deciding ourselves and direct our grievances to the right place, which is the very people we elected in Niger Delta to represent us in both Houses.

The bill requires two-third majority votes to pass, if the Niger Delta Senators and Representatives opposed and voted against the PIB, it would have not passed!

Go ask them, why they voted for a bill that their constituents in Niger Delta opposes.
