Btw, why is "casual" tvseries so hard to come by?

Done with War and Peace, definitely one the most beautiful show I've seen in the past few years. And I loved all the battle scenes. Looked way better than most movies I've seen.
No one does period dramas like the BBC, and I really hope they do more similar projects in the future.
Also, Paul Dano is an incredible actor.

Remember they adopted the black child because they lost their own child, people tend to try to fill the space a lost has created by getting something resembling to the what they lost. So yea the circumstance at which they adopted the child is just as real. As for the timing, other episodes showed the challenges they faced raising a black kid in a white family, because it wasn't the commonest sight as at that time. This is us to me is one of the best thing to have happened to television.
