What do you expect from a president who doesn't know anything apart from cattle issues. Someone who never had any certificate aside the ones given by Army. No lecture given by him in any form on how to grow economy even the people he appointed are not capable to manage a state economy talk less of Nigeria as a whole.

What doesn't it matter anyway, Twitter is still banned and shall remain banned.

How was the amount arrived at? how does the FG get paid?
If it was true, FG will have reversed the suspension.

The falsehood is amazing. Nigerians who were using Twitter for business have migrated to other tools. Many are still using Twitter via simple VPN walk-arounds.

I want to hear that Twitter has lost N247bn worth of business for disrespecting Nigeria not that Nigerians have lost this money.

Get your minds of inferiority complexes and fawning over irresponsible global platforms.

Twitter is not Jesus Christ.

You are still licking the behind of this foolish government undecided

Someone will take chicken out of your mouth like that foolish APC advert and you will be praising them.

Honestly Nigerians deserve the country they live in.

They will come and register with CAC, get NCC licence , have a physical office in Nigeria, hire our teeming youths who are ready to work and pay tax to Nigeria las las.

The era of where they repatriate 100% of their ad revenue in Nigeria as forex back to their country and pass on the tax bill to Nigerian businesses to pay FG is over.

Nigerian Corporates that pay millions of USD for ads like our banks etc don't do VPN. So no ad revenue for them until the suspension is lifted.

Their 'lose' (pun intended) in ad revenue is the gain of other social media platforms including platforms like Nairaland.

That is the best way to capture what you post here. Twitter is own by a billionaire in the US and is used by many countries all over the world and he is making tons of cash.

Now your country men use it to promote business, they advertise good there and people buy from them.
You are saying since they delete a useless post made by those handling President buhari twitter handle they should suffer for not receiving ads revenue.
You are in variably saying if MTN is not in your village or state since MTN is not selling airtime there MTN is loosing.

If the matter is not affecting Nigeria govt why is minister of information going to the US to negotiate with a twitter company in US.

This govt prefers to spend 247 billion in 100 days to block Twitter that Nigerians are still bypassing the firewall with ordinary free VPN, than to pay doctors, lecturers and provide services for the benefits of Nigerian citizens. This is the real definition of madness mixed with unbelievable stupidity.

This country needs to be recolonized.

Let's face it. You don't force people to come to your country. You attract them with juicy deals.
Even a local Nigerian company ran to Ghana to operate cos of the rubbish policies done by FG, flutter and the like are registered in US. Hence repatriate their funds.

Fix your house and you will get visitors.
So google and Facebook that opened business in Nigeria didn't know about the infrastructural problem bah?! You must really think Nigeria is the only country in the world that has problem with infrastructure.

Countries like China don't attract investment with juicy offers, they simply ban any companies thats not willing to operate within China thereby subjected to Chinese laws from operating in china at all.
E.g the likes of Facebook, google, twitter and so on.

And it has been working for their local content.

Nairaland has seen surge in revenue since twitter ban. If twitter wants to operate in Nigeria, it should agree with fg terms instead of sponsoring dumb propaganda articles like this to make it look like Nigeria is losing money. grin

The Twitter ban in Nigeria has
extended to 100 days, and in that
time frame the nation has lost
N247.61bn.

Yes, u have told us how much Nigeria lost, but u have not told us how much did Twitter lost, or do means that Twitter has not lost any thing since it suspension in Nigeria?
And yes we lost all that amount, but we teach them the language that they can understand, we get freedom.
