c. Green grain roasted, mixed with oil and frankincense  (Lev. 2:14-15)
d. Remaining portions eaten by priest (Lev. 2:3, 10; 6:16-18).

PURPOSE

Meat-offerings were made together with burnt-offerings as sacrifices of thanksgiving and devotion to God.

NEW TESTAMENT TYPOLOGY

Christ’s sinless humanity is denoted by absence of (Heb. 4:15). Oil signifies Christ born of and baptized with the Holy Spirit (Jn. 1:32). Compare Lev. 2:1, note.

3. SACRIFICE

Peace-Offering (Hebrew shelem):
(Lev. 3:1-17; 11-21)
A sweet savour and a voluntary offering.
An unblemished male or female from cattle, sheep, or goats.
A bull or lamb could have a limb too short.

METHOD
Fat on entrails, on bosom, and on right thing burned with kidneys on the altar of burnt-offering (Lev. 3:3-4).
Priests were given right thigh and bosom (Lev. 7:31-32).
Offerer and family ate remaining portions (Lev. 7:15-17). Only peace-offerings were eaten by offerer.

PURPOSE

Right relationship and friendship with God were represented by peace-offerings and celebrated at a fellowship meal.
Peace-offerings were rendered as thanksgiving for divine help and blessing.

NEW TESTAMENT TYPOLOGY

4. SACRIFICE

Sin-Offering
(Hebrew chattath):
(Lev. 4:1-35; 6:24-30)
Was not a sweet savour and was a required offering. Four classes:
a. A young bull for the high priest
b. A young bull for the congregation.
c. A male goat or female goat for a ruler.
d. A female goat or female lamb for the common people.

METHOD
Fat on entrails, along with kidneys, was burned on the altar of burnt-offering (Lev. 4:8-10, 19, 26, 31,35).
For the high priest or the congregation, what remained of the young bull was burned outside the camp (Lev. 4:11-112, 20-21).
For a ruler or member of the common people, remaining portions of the lamb or goat were eaten by the priests in the court of the tabernacle (Lev. 6:26).

PURPOSE

The sin-offering was required for unintentional sin (Lev. 4:2).

NEW TESTAMENT TYPOLOGY

In His death Christ bore the believer’s sin in His own body in place of the sinner
(2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Pet. 2:24).
Compare Lev. 4:3

5. SACRIFICE
Trespass-Offering
(Hebrew asham):
(Lev. 5:1-6:7; 7:1-7)
Was not a sweet savour and was a required offering. Unintentional sins against holy things or against a neighbour:
An unblemished ram and restitution of value plus one fifth.
Other sins against God: An unblemished ran. Poor persons could bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and even poorer persons could bring fine flour.
METHOD
Fat and kidneys of the unblemished ram were burned on the altar of burnt-offering (Lev. 7:3-5).
Remaining portions of the ram were eaten by priests in a holy place (Lev. 7:6-7).
Restitution plus one fifth was made for trespasses against holy things and neighbours (Lev. 5:16; 6:5).
Birds were drained of blood.
Birds or flour were then burned on the altar (Lev. 5:7-12)

PURPOSE
The trespass-offering was required for unintentional sin against the Lord, against holy things, and against neighbours (Lev. 5:15, 17; 6:2-3)

NEW TESTAMENT TYPOLOGY

Christ is the only remaining sacrifice for all sin and trespasses (Rom. 8:3-4; 1 Jn. 1:7). Compare Lev 5:6

The Old testament is a Shadow of the New and the New Testament is concealed in the Old, Jesus Christ didn’t come to rubbish the Old Testament but to honour it and Fulfil it.

here are contradictions and thank God, Jesus son of Mary has no single role in any.

Compare Lev. 2:1, note.
i thought Jesus was God, himself, why surrender to himself, yet God is not the Author of confusion, if the bible is word of God, can there be anything more confusing if the first bold is viewed in light of Trinity? Believer should not need any help since they are on belief, already. Should Jesus not be a means of safety if not ransom for the sinner instead of a burden as a sin for them as the second bold indicates? if in the third bold Jesus is sinless, is this not the opposite of being a sin itself in the second bold? which one is true about Jesus or lying is permissible in order to elevate him?

Compare Lev. 4:3
believers should be sinless because they are believers and not sinners. those of believers who died before Jesus are enjoying peace with God without Jesus not less that what Jesus brought of peace from God for those believers in him enjoy after he has bore their sins on himself, according to the bold. i can absolutely say that God Almighty was actually more Merciful on those believers that existed and passed before Jesus than those that Jesus had to be responsible for so that they can have enjoyment of God's peace of the same degree.

what a confusion, if biblical God is not the author of confusion. one have to scratch head to gravel with that one.

Sweetnecta, I see you are a student of the Bible. Can you briefly state what is your belief on the person and life of Jesus of Nazareth? I would really like to know,

Jesus was both hundred percent God and hundred percent man when He graced this earth
John 1:1-4
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men"

Jesus Christ is the living logos of the Father, God is His Word and He cannot be separated from His Word therefore "The Word of God" is God and God is His Word.
Rev 19:13(WNT) "The outer garment in which He is clad has been dipped in blood and HIS name is THE WORD OF GOD"
And John 1 says ". . . THE WORD IS GOD"

1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the FATHER, the WORD, and the HOLY GHOST AND THESE THREE ARE ONE"
THIS IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS

Now the issue of Jesus giving Himself to "Himself" like you were trying to insinuate is wrong and not what the scripture it only show the ignorance and a lack of understanding of scriptures you have like many others (no disrespect)
John 3:16 "For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in should not perish, but have everlasting life"
Jesus Christ was that scrificial lamb slain for the redempion of all of man kind
Romans 4:24-25 ". . . if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification"
Romans 5:6-16
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet paraventure for a good man some would even dare to die, but God commandeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Fior if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. . . Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and deth by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. . . Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. . . For if through th offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

@Wetu; i believe as Jesus himself believed about himself.

he was a son of man. a prophet sent by God to a people of common heritage; the children of Israel to return to the way of the previous prophets; worshiping God Alone without any implied association. this means that they should discard the thing of their rabbis which they took in rejection of what the elects of God brought from God.

Can Jesus be God? impossible if humans overcame him and killed him by hanging. The second bold is against what occurs in Genesis. Adam and Eve and all prophets before Jesus were unaware of a word and a ghost beings who are also Gods. How can God Almighty Yahweh kept this secret from Adam that He created, or Eve He cloned from the rib, or Abraham His Best Friend, or Moses He spoke to in many occasions? it just did not happen because there is no reason for it to happen.

John 3:16 "For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in should not perish, but have everlasting life"
each of the verses are true testaments that even in the Gospels, the words of others are used to describe Jesus, in the ways he did not describe himself. Jesus said he is a prophet. i believe it. Jesus said he is forsaken by God. i don't believe it because only satan and evildoers who die on evil deeds without seeking repentance are forsaken. God will never forsake His elects; prophets. Jesus was a mighty prophet. so God could not have forsaken him.
Jesus Christ was that sacrificial lamb slain for the redemption of all of man kind
and many a generation had passed before the so called sacrifice. can we say 'all of man kind', still? these are signs of the falsehood that i am pointing out. if God wished to eradicate blood sacrifice of animal, would He opt for what is more gruesome, the killing of a reluctant and innocent man, while obliterating personal responsibility, yet man is not safe from His punishment, still, since Hellfire is still a think not destroyed?
Romans 4:24-25 ". . . if we believe in Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification"
Romans 5:6-16
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
