The only place Kyari can be tried is in Nigeria and I think most of what they will put against him is the indiscipline of a police officer and possibly abetting.

The abetting part might not carry weight if he claims he was not in the know of any criminal actions of Hushpuppi. Possibly just providing 'assistance' to a big man. The evidence of that is with the US government and their help would be needed to prosecute that count. If Nigeria fails to invite the US government to present the evidence, it would be seen as treating Kyari with kid gloves and could lead to an international incident that would have rebounding results.
