Yeah, that's the question. In some African cultures once a young promising girl gets spoilt as a result of dating, you see the parents and elders of the said girl get angry and feel that such girl wanna spoil their name and bring the family into disrepute, so they hurriedly wrap and package the girl and then marry her to one rich elderly man who may already have been married previously so the girl now becomes a 3rd, 4th wife etc. They do this with the belief that such elderly men would not be bothered that such young girls may have been pregnant before and undergone abortion,and whether or not she has lost her womb from abortion.
While, this marital arrangement might save the girl's family name, I really wonder how this kind of marriage can reform a love struck girl like this and how such kind of girls would not go back to her young energetic boyfriends even while still been married.
