Reminds me of how Christmas rice used to be shared amongst families in the village back when life wasn’t lived in a rush. It wasn’t meant for just ur wife & kids alone, extended family & friends had some sent to them too. Now if ur aunty calls u to coman eat u dodge, everyone in the village is out to get u because of ur small moni. grin

Who can relate here? does this picture remind you of anything in the past?

Once again, happy Christmas

This might look funny but it's in such families you find unity and togetherness.

betterstyle.

this only happens when the father is around to unite the lots in special days like this.

but once he's dead ( everybody find your way) like the one in my street, they normally kill ram every Christmas Eve, bought by his eldest son.
but their father passed away this year January.... yesterday it was like grave yard over there. damn!

Like our house in the village.

But we're all currently spending the holidays at our other family home in town with our siblings and kids.

I wanted to but my family asked me to wait till Easter time, I planned to travel home December 23, I aborted the plan on 22 after my mum and senior brother expressed concern about the timing.

Poverty makes everything look distasteful.
Polygamy that is meant to be exquisite reserved for the king's and oligarchs, poor people turned it to mortal combat.

I can really relate with this....ours was better than this cos we have a better home setting ...food is served in breakables and on a kithen carbinet.

but since palleh pef, area don scatter true true..i haven't been home since 2006....i can bring mumsy over to me anytime i want, so why go there. i remember those days with nostalgia now.....OP, you ehn...we are thirteen children with three wifes. mum had 5 as number 1 while the rest shared the balance. but you dare not fight in ma old man house, he will ask you if you were been short changed in anyway...very strict man, his wives feared him like kilode.....i wish i have his balls.. died at 69 back in 2005...i msd my dad....

He sold 4 properties before he died and left only the family house...he said he doesnt want trouble after hes gone.....so far so good, there had been peace

What? undecided why would the timing be a problem, it is your home.. where else would one feel comfortable and wellcomed if not their home.

We don stigmatise polygamy in Nigeria, now most of our ladies have become side chicks.

This must be one very archaic polygamous home.

You too get sense. And this is why I laugh at any lady who thinks she is in a monogamous marriage.

Women just love to fool themselves believing what they want even when they know deep inside of them that they are unrealistic.
