...because they are responsible for creating the same one Nigeria they hypocritically cry, shout and moan that they don't like today.

Only ibo people in the South wanted one Nigeria and decided to created Nigeria as a country, they even refused to insert secession language into the founding document that created Nigeria, they unilaterally made sure that Nigeria remains unbreakable, at least not easily.

When things did not go their way because they foolishly teamed up with the North to create Nigeria simply based on their usual childish emotions and sentiments and to spite the Yoruba people, instead of sound strategies and self-preservation.

When things did not go their way, they entered their usual self-destructive mode and deployed violence and bloodbath, they slaughtered military and political leaders from the North and SW. The North and the SW still installed an ibo man to be the next head of state while hoping and expecting him to do the right thing by punishing the sadistic murderers, but as usual, the ibo tribal and clannish mentality kicked in, he refused to even slap the blood thirsty murderers abd coup plotters on the wrist, this quickly showed the North that ibo people can not and never be trusted to do the right thing because with ibo people, the tribe comes first, so the North took matters into their own hands and slaughtered thousands of ibo people in the process, just imagine, you killed Northern leaders and still danced and celebrated in the North in front of Northerners., that was actually not the last straw.

Ibo people looked at their dominance within the civil service and decided to consolidate power into their hands, so the foolish ibo head of state quickly abolished regionalism, forgetting that power is transient and not stationary, the greed and self-serving scheme you created today is another man's tool to use against you when you are out of power tomorrow.

The North smelled blood and cornered the powerful center that ibo people created to retain and remain power, while blocking ibo people from ever getting to the center or anywhere near power because ibo people showed their dirty hands too many times to show the rest of the country how mean, callous, tribal and untrustworthy they can be.

Ibo people are sad victims of their own ways and creators of their own hopeless destiny.

They set Nigeria on a dangerous path from the beginning, when trust was golden and cherished.

They are reaping what they sow.

I understand that awolowo made a clear-cut vision of decentralised system of governance. This issue was given an audience at the national assembly and zik won the debate so why you making look as if it cannot be reversed. Besides you and i know that the 1999 constitution is a fraud. On the issue of tinubu i hope u know he is extorting alot from lagosians and osibanjo is just a coward. Igbos always stand there group we are not scared of anyone. You can call us names but not coward.

I predict your Igbo legislators will start voting against amendment bills for decentralization or restructuring especially if a SW president should emerge in 2023. That's the pattern we've always seen. Then you will learn they don't need state police, resource control or VAT collection by states again.

Hmmm see this one.. from obasanjo -- umaru musa yaradua -- goodluck jonathan -- mohammadu burhari. So where is someone from southeast? Is what u wrote up there called democracy?

Where is NC, NE there? Where is Igala, Birom, Chamba, Kataf, Igbomina, Ogoni, Tiv, Jukun, Egun, EFIK, Ibibio on that list?

Where is the Anglican, Nasfat, Ecksnkar, Guru, Hare Krishner, Sango, Ogun worshiper, Catholic, Methodist, C&S, Ahmaddiya etc on that list?

Until it goes to them, it's not democracy?

Won the debate

Why don't you characterize all these marginalization , that you complain about e.g having 5 states whilst others have 6 or 7 as "losing the debate"

Was there a debate to be won or lost or did Zik gang up with his Hausa overlords as Ibos have consistently done as in 1960, 1965, 1979 , 1983 and 1999.

Why don't you accept the outcome of the Biafra war as losing the Debate? Obasanjo was able to convince the PANEL OF JUDGES of the strength of his argument whilst Ojukwu did not wait to summarize

They're always long on making excuses, to validate their desperation to appear the wronged party, but very short on a factual grasp of history.

Especially when it involves them admitting historical and pivotally damaging wrongdoing.

We can all remember there was no talk of Biafra for the five years when Jonathan, the 'Igbo President', was leading Nigeria let alone the violent chaos we are seeing now from IPOB, UGM, ESN etal. Igbos just act up when not in charge.

They are confused also and we saw this recently when a Northern group demanded the NASS immediately begin the process to start legislative amendment to allow them have a referendum and then leave Nigeria asap.

IPOB senator Abaribe was immediately up in arms against it claiming it is an effort to chase Igbos out of Nigeria.

Confused and hypocritical lot.

I sympathize.
traditionally in Africa adults shun the direct speech of Europeans and speak in proverbs , parables and maybe idioms
If you watch televised school debates in Nigeria you would understand.

The competing teams usually have several speakers and at the end their captains come out to summarize.
When it was time for that in the "BIAFRA DEBATE" Ojukwu was missing and could not be found, some rumors said that he had fled fearing that he had lost the DEBATE

So his deputy was left with the task of summarizing

@OP. See another example of what we have all being saying i.e how it is difficult to trust Igbos with ultimate power because of their previous and damaging actions others cannot forget. Everyone remembers your "past antecedent" according to CNG.

They puts it right wondering how Nigerians can support the same Igbos who are all mainly IPOB and Kanu's supporters whether openly or tacitly.

Was it not the same Ezeife mentioned below, confirming he is an IPOB closet backer, who said Nigeria should ridicule her own law and let Kanu who broke bail and ran abroad, to return to Nigeria to bury his parent and leave?

Everyone is looking to change it for Igbos not least of all the North they are always insulting, demeaning and demonizing ruthlessly and non-stop.

Go and prostrate to Nnamdi Kanu, North can’t be fooled again, CNG replies Ezeife

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has described as ‘grand deception,’ the call by former Governor of Anambra State, Chukuemeka Ezeife, for the South-East to do everything possible, including prostrating to other regions, to get the 2023 presidency.

Ezeife had, on Saturday, while speaking at an event in Abuja, said that the time had come for the South-East to swallow its pride and start begging other regions for the presidential seat.

“The Igbo man does not kneel down but this time, we are prepared to kneel down, beg, and prostrate to every part of Nigeria to get the 2023 presidency,” the elder statesman said.

However, the CNG, in a statement on Monday issued by its spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, described the call as “nothing but deception” and urged the North not to fall for the plea because the South-East and Igbos are not “sincere and should not be trusted” because of their antecedents in the past.

The statement added that the “Igbos have, by their conduct, denied themselves the opportunity to be trusted with power in the near future.”

The bitter truth is that no matter how low the Igbos are willing to go or how long they are willing to keep their knees on the ground, it will be unreasonable to expect other Nigerian tribes, not least the North, to risk entrusting the presidency in them,” the CNG statement reads.

“It is said that once bitten, twice shy, and the current northern thinking is beyond the repeated deceptions such as this one by the Igbos which at every turn, results in tragedy.

“We see the recent belated desperation by the Igbos as nothing but an afterthought that is downright unacceptable.

“It is deceptive for them to make such overtures after having encouraged and supported Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the atrocities committed against other Nigerians, particularly northerners by his IPOB.

“If the Igbo must prostrate to anyone, they should prostrate to Kanu as the North has come of age and shall not be deceived or fooled any longer,” the statement said.

Ezeife is clearly speaking for himself. Theres no formal statement by any registered cso confirming such claim. What i read is pure politics and nothing more everyone is entitled to their opinion.
