This should better be a joke.... Increase petrol price and add to our woes, then see a protest fueled by hunger, anger and frustration.

If by February this pulls though.. expect the following..

* A geometric progression in crime rates
* A total collapse of the Nigerian Naira
* Highest rate of inflation ever recorded in Nigerian history as prices of goods and services will be all time high
* Massive unemployment
* Depression and and suicide daily.

Buhari is a monumental failure and will go down in history as the worst Nigerian president President ever .

My people brace up for hard n tough times...shay we the claim say we get endurance...this one will break even the toughest of skins..

My take is simple..let us protest and stop this rubbish cos las las the N250b monthly will still be looted by the people in power
Exactly my position!
Anyone that has lived long enough in Nigeria knows better that the subsidy savings will not have any transformative effect on the lives of Nigerians, but will be relooted. There is absolutely no guarantee that things will improve but rather everything will take a dip as you reeled out.

Increase fuel and open our boarders. Enough of this China bondage of controlling our economy in favor of their fake goods.

If fuel is increased amid this rising inflation, scarce and expensive commodities, then, there won't be any election come 2023 cos we citizens ( since our military are now lame) will take over government.

We should close Nigeria down o. They cant even wait till dangote finishes his refinery.. At least we can use his prices to determine the final pump price. In fact why cant they just keep importing till the end of the year or until when dangote starts producing at full capacity. People will know the price that truly reflects the production cost of a litre of pms in Nigeria and then prepare for full deregulation.

The elites, political and ruling class have long figured out that they can get away with alot more of such in a highly illiterate and poverty stricken population. When poverty has been weaponised to such extent, the odds are against the masses

Buhari promised to set up new refineries if voted into power, he hasn't fulfilled that promise and will not fulfill dame till he leaves.

This failure has opened a window of opportunity for illegal refining of crude oil into diesel. There's a demand for the poor quality diesel and that's why the illegal refineries are in business.

No pun intended, they should make it 400 naira per litre so that smuggling to neighboring countries will end.

No sir!

How much has your country spent on research on crude oil refining?

The fact that the kpofire people can do it crudely and inefficiently means that a big country like Nigeria can master the technology within a short time if only they are willing to do the research. Do you disagree with this?

True, but does not and cannot justify the brealing of pipeline to steal crude in the name of 'local refining'.
