Ajaokuta steel complex has not produced a single steel
ViperAda:

It was operational but not at full capacity. Ajaokuta steel is lucrarive enough to rebase our economy as one of the biggest in the world. We make can totally shift from being an oil dependent economy into a manufacturing giant.

Ajaokuta steel complex ain't generating sh*t, it ain't employing anyone. When "if" it becomes functional then you have a case. as it is it's a big evidence of tribalism and waste of fund as a result of tribalism

It is moribund but can it be refurbished and returned to full capacity. I won't dismiss its potentials. Not tribalism but corruption.

Where are the village chestbeaters saying "No amount of gas would be taken from iboland"?
Tell those toothless mofos that this gas is going all the way to Kaduna. How about that?.
The gas in Alaigbo would be used to revitalize the manufacturing hub in Kaduna and Kano.
Una go serve North taya.

Brass is a storage facility connected via pipeline for Export.
The exports from Brass is not necessarily from "Brass oil and gas field"

Are you guys daft or something?
Is the FG complaining to you?
Has Government not been laying pipelines before you were born?.. Abeg shift.

FG isn't the one funding AKK but the Chinese, whom have already backed out knowing the unviablity of the project especially in the north

Each time you open your mouth, you sound even dumber. What's the business of China with oil and gas infrastructures in Nigeria?.. When it comes to oil and gas, we know the interested stakeholders.. Abeg shift.

-Viper

Go and educate yourself.

Nigeria is broke and cannot fund most of these heavily capital intensive projects so they depend on loans or external funding Under PPP arrangement.

China is funding AKK and they have pulled out

I wonder where that guy learnt that the moribund Ajaokuta steel is lucrative.

A project that the Gowon regime used as a to the Soviets as thank you package for supporting FG during Nigeria vs Biafra

Firstly, the Ajaokuta was never "100%" completed.... When it was was built.

2ndly it's cheaper build a new steel plant than resurrect Ajaokuta which needs over a billion dollars plus.

“We already have a gas pipeline project from Nigeria to Morocco” or that memorandum of understanding has been signed.

Where is the construction site?

And coming to Imo gas, do you know how long it would take to lay pipe from Imo to Abuja to join the AKK pipeline?

Do you try to internalize the things you say at all?

You are ignorant both states has largest gas reserves

Anambra does not have gas. Anambra basin is different from Anambra. It's oil that Anambra has. Nigeria has about 207trillion cubic of gas, Imo state alone has not less than 200trillion. Abia also has a small quantity of the remainder portion.

Keep quiet when you don't have the necessary information.
Anambra has large amounts of gas.

First of all, you already know that APC is not winning the next governorship election in Imo state. ThTo at immediately puts the spanner in your works.

To make matters worse, a Fulani man is unlikely to take over from Buhari.

The icing on the cake being that Igbo youths are gradually wising up to the fact that they have most of the gas resources in Nigeria. In a few years time, they will start asserting this fact, thus making it a difficult proposition to tap Igbo gas without dire consequences.

The gas that is heading to Kaduna and Kano are being tapped from Itsekiri areas. They well know not to insult the Igbos by constructing pipelines from Igboland to Kano.
See how they started first by training Igbo youths. A multiplicity of gas outlets in the east will follow.

Oga you are getting it wrong. There is a difference between Anambra basin and Anambra. Imo is also part of Anambra basin and it's not the whole part of Anambra basin that is rich in oil and gas. Anambra has only oil which are about 12 oil wells.

This kind of inciting comment breeds unrest. You are not supposed to be saying this even if true. Nigeria has known too much unrest to contend it. Peaceful coexistence is possible!
