When last did you give alms to the needy in your community?

1. Not to be appreciated or rewarded but moved to do so out of compassion...

2. When you had little but still chose to make the sacrifice...

3. In private... Not for clout...

For this kind difficult period is there even alms to give ?
Buhari is busy frustrating millions of Nigeria with hunger. Things are too expensive and salary is never enough.

I really feel for the poor especially this period; how they manage to couple is always on my mind .
Some of them got no job at all, no shelter, no family ......it's really bad to live in that condition under this wicked Buhari gov't

Apart from giving alms to people, be committed to at least one of the united nation humanitarian agencies.
You can give them one thousand naira monthly. Or more or less.

Basically I think it's wrong to ask the last time alms were given out by an individual, cos it's written what so ever you left hands give out your right shouldn't know. We only give alms for God's blessings not for man's praises.. I rest my case

Eweeeeeey!

I don't mean to blow my trumpet, I mean I don't even count them as anything, in short I don't call it "alms". Alms sounds like a religious obligation expected of you; I call it KINDNESS

I was at the grocery store one day to get something, and while I was waiting to get my balance, a little schoolgirl who had come with an older sister was pointing at a snack and crying; apparently she loved to have it, but the older sister told her she couldn't buy it because their money was not enough...

"Let her have it," I said
They were both doe eyed
"Sir?" the older one said, not sure if she had heard correctly.
I repeated, and she did as I said and gave her the snack.
Little schoolgirl stopped crying, older sister was smiling, I was smiling too; everyone's happy.
Only the older one said thank you, the little one was probably too overwhelmed with excitement she forgot..

I later found out their snack cost more than what I came to get for myself but I cared less, I did it because I wanted to, and I think everyone should just have that sort of kindness and not speak their life problems into their crumpled money before throwing them at a roadside beggar or something

By the way, I'm available for your writing and design jobs, see my signature below, thanks

It’s funny when hypocrites who say “you should have given your tithe to the poor” don’t even give to the poor and needy. It is just an excuse for them not to part with their money. Just like Judas was accusing Mary Magdalene of using an ointment that was expensive enough to feed to the poor to anoint the feet of Christ. Meanwhile he was the one stealing the money in the disciples coffers.

That I can't remember though.

I stopped paying tithe a long time ago

So I spend alot on Charity and I don't care if it's more than my 10% because God keeps providing.

I go broke sometimes though but I still give to others in those times.

What I love about helping others is seeing the smile in their faces but if I can't see you physically, I will always love a appreciative message/call to know that you are happy, but most of the females I have helped don't show gratitude, including the ones I know.

I am considering not helping Naija Girls henceforth they make me feel stupid even when it's clear you don't want anything with them.

Everyday and with anything I have. Alms must not be money alone.

I've not gone out today but yesterday at an owambe, I gave out an extra wrap of Amala I had to a little boy who asked for it. I also supported a cameraman's ministry though I didn't ask him to snap me and print pictures.

Printing pictures at owambe is now outdated.

Give love, give respect, give joy, give what you have to people. Not only money.
Thank you for reading.

The beggers on the street may not be the needy but are just business men and women who specialises in the act of beggers. Pls give to those who are genuinely in need.

Alms giving attracts positive recompense. I don't joke with for a good personal reason also.

But on the contract, some beggars are devil's advocates....after the day's beggings, they gathered the whole money and trade, during dark hours, to some ritualists.

That is: if a beggar made 3,000naira for a day, whenever the evil merchants comes around, all the notes he has collected from people without replacing them, he, the beggar, shall sell them out in exchange for a profit...3,000naira to maybe 5,000naira... depending on their agreement.

The evil merchants, of course, ritualizes these monies.

Please read with an open mind.

This is actually true infact them plenty like that for Abeokuta, you give them money like this they exchange with ritualists later at night.
