It is a big lesson that PDP should learn. The battle between and Obaseki for the soul of APC in Edo was a great opportunity for PDP to win the election without having much stress. The much that could have happened would have been that APC would split its votes- some to Pastor Ize Iyamu the APC flag bearer and others to Obaseki in another party. PDP decided to abandon its party members and gave the ticket a political sojourner who only came to take shelter in PDP that was already prepared to win the election. The rest is history. While nobody will miss Obaseki if he eventually defects since he is a political nobody and cannot decide the next Edo election, it is an eye opener.
