As per the woman who died, you can only see from your perspective, you don't know what transpired between the woman and God. You can't even tell whether she married the man in disobedience to God.

You would have the same success praying to a milk jug as you do praying to god -- the milk jug sometimes answers your prayer the way you want to, sometimes not and sometimes the answer is delayed. See the problem here? If things turn out the way you want them to, you say it was because you prayed. If not, it's because god knows what's best and you didn't pray for the right thing. Or, if it happens 10 years later you say god answered your prayer, it was just delayed. This is nonsense.

It is so painful that these seems to be the true case but it is practically not the true situation. The best thing God wants to give you is wisdom, knowledge and understanding which is power. Power to rule your world, power to create your world. God will not do for your what he has given you the wisdom and power to do for yourself. Human minds and writers can not comprehend adequately what God is trying to relate perfectly so God has to use what you can easily comprehend and relate with. For example" the righteous shall be like mount Zion that can not be moved but abideth forever" you and I know now for sure that little mount Zion and mount Sinai or mount Horeb can simply be move and reduced to dust with the help of thurium, uranium nuclear fission and mean machines. So what can not be moved? No really the symbolic Zion. You are better protected from snipers bullet by chromium plates better than faith or shield of faith. God gave you the wisdom for the bullet proof let for you to use it adequately and effectively. Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God. When man fails in his capacity due to laziness, negligence and foolishness he casts the blame on his God.

Prayers do work but you don't expect God to come take decisions for you when he has already given everyone the right to make choices. Even when Jesus was tempted by Satan to fall down that God will save him, he decided not to do it to put God to test. She had a choice to either leave to stay alive or to remain there. She chose to remain.

Well prayers don't work and praying to a nonexistent being is like pouring water into a basket. Funny how people think prayers solves anything. Just live your life and make those changes yourself.
