There has been this issue that those ruling Ebonyi state are ppl from minority clans eg Sam Egwu from Ezzamgbo which is just 2 wards in a senatorial zone that has the Izzis,then Elechi drop Ikwo in a senator zone that has the Ezzas.
So,Ezza ppl will rather vote Nwifuru instead of an Nkalagu man from same senatorial zone so that next 4 or 8 yrs an Ezza man will contest.
The Izzi will of course vote their son.
That's easily 50% of the votes

In their courtesy visit to Senator Sam Egwu, he promised that one of the Izzi aspirants will be PDP candidate.

Remember that Egwu’s return to the senate is predicated on an Izzi man becoming PDP guber candidate.

Section 68 and 109 never said once a seat is declared vacant,the party will bring a replacement.the norm is that inec will order a bye election when a seat is vacant.when the supreme court sacked abegunde in 2018,they did not order a replacement from his party.the seat remained vacant.again,the electoral clearly stated that any one that didn't participate in all election stages cannot assume power.going by that,the first runner up should be sworn in which is APC.but that is not wise.the court will order a rerun or the seats will remain empty....

In the recent sacking of dogara,the court refused to order a replacement from pdp.dont be deceived by inyang ekwo's desperate judicial activism...infact ekwo gave two alternatives,that is PDP bringing replacements or a bye election to show how confused and uncertain he is
