[b]How will any of you guys feel if your girlfriend misplaced a gift you gave her? my girlfriend misplaced a camera i sent to her earlier this year. I sent her the camera as an "i'm sorry" gift (even though she demanded it, and though i see nothing wrong in what i did at that moment. Long story short, she said I broke her heart then i just wanted to end the whole thing). What's really miffing me most is not the fact that the damn thing got missing, but she's acting all non-chalant about it, after what she put me through b4 i decided to get it for her. She said it's just a camera and she can get cameras anytime she wishes. I think her purse dropped out of her bag in a taxi, and in it was the camera and some of her jewelery. I told her that i was not happy about it and the next thing that came out of her mouth was it's just a camera, and that she was more pained about the jewelery. I just hung up the phone cos i didn't want to say anything with the anger gradually boiling in me with the attitude she was protraying. I'm really pissed right now[/b]  |

@ OP Well, in that case let me answer your question, i.e how would one feel if their GF/BF misplaced a gift. You had also mentioned that she behaved in a totally unaffected manner. If I were you, I'd assume thatz the worth me/my sorry gift has got as far as the other person is concerned and do myself a favor by channeling my time/thoughts/energy into something that is useful for me. Dyt: Smilenw: this is a girl that we are planning for our wedding once i get back to Naija this year. I know she misplaced other things too, but the way she shrugged it aside as if it meant nothing is what's really annoying me. |

It don't matter how pissed you get dude, she's right afterall. It's just a camera. No one phu.cks with a woman's jewels. Besides, d'you know for sure if she's got fond memories attached to those jewels? Or you just want her to care about a heart breaker's gift abi? |

Rocktation: If you know the origin of the whole "heartbreak" saga and subsequent blackmail, you won't come in here to post what you just posted. Besides how will u feel if your girlfriend misplaced a $900 camera in today's American economy and starts feeling non-chalant about it like it was a point, snap, and shoot she misplaced? zealot4me: I didn't "put" it anyhow. I just call her like i usually do everyday, and the first thing she told me was that she misplaced it. it was much later when i called her in the afternoon that she mentioned that she misplaced the jewellery as well. I know it's just a camera and it can be replaced, but it was the way she shrugged it aside, knowing what she made me go through before i decided to get it and and how much it was, acting as if it was just nothing that really got me annoyed. I'm not being proud or maybe it's just my man-ego, but at least she should have shown some remorse over it and i too would have been sympathetic about her lost jewellery. I've told her i'm not getting another one for her and she has to replace it b4 i get back. |

Lord_Reed: Long story short - she called me one day i was busy, i told her so, she then said "i love you", but being in the midst of so many people, i didn't respond. I immediately sent her an "i luv u too" text and the next thing wey i go hear is i didn't want to say so because i was with someone i didn't want to hear that. If not i wouldn't send that text. she was unhappy and heartbroken for almost a week (according to her) and kept on referring to it at any chance she got, and she said i have to buy her a gift to show that i'm truly sorry, and that she wants a camera (hence the blackmail part i mentioned, cos she had earlier told me to get her a camera and i told her to buy it herself). |
