I give it to the North when it comes to politics shah. That's probably the only thing they know how to do best ..that is excluding religious fanatism and vawulence. But God forbid that another hausa fulani will rule us in the next dispensation when we are yet to recover from the disaster called BUHARI!! I would rather a sickly and old TINUBU wins instead of another northerner!!!
These people don't have what it takes to lead a complex state such as Nigeria yet they will not give way for others! Always being beclouded by religion and ethnicity. Its time the South irrespective of tribe and ethnicity unite to stop this nonsense.

stop talking nonsense. SE have 100 PDP delgates, Anyim only got 7 votes and you are here talking of southern Unity. as if SW and SS are your problem!!! get your own house in order 1st!!! Wike was right after all when he told Anambra delegates Obi will not win in Anambra.

Lol. The votes from the primaries aren't the vote of all Nigerians nau. Just a sect of people decided who'd they prefer to compete for the seat of presidency.
If who runs for president wasn't dictated by the votes from a sect of Nigerians in the primaries, it'd have been a totally different story.
I'm saying same thing. The ball was never in the masses court.. From the look of things, it will be Atiku and Tinubu. So disgusting

You are still talkin ga bout "the North" there is no the North only a party that wants to win and recognises their best candidate to win is Atiku. Obi and Wike are local champions, they sell well in their enclaves but they are not exportable to the northern masses and that is where the votes are. As far as SE is concerned until you people realise that an Ibo candidate is unelectable in Nigeria and go back to the drawing board and change your mindset and appraoch to to others, always bnlaming others for your self inflicted misfortunes, you will be always be stuck in this political rut!!!

The problem of the SE is the SE...get that into your head!!! SW and SS aren't asking for SE help to become president because they have made alliances in the North which is where the votes are. You cant keep antagonising everybody then when time comes for election blame the North or the rest of the south...do your own work and make yourselves electable.

A man who doesnt understand where he goes wrong will continue making the same errors over and over again. Your problem is not the North or the rest of the South, your problem is you!!! This idea of a Northern gangup or a southern betrayal is something you tell yourselves to avoid facing your harsh realities!!! The reason no one is zoning the Presidency to the SE is because Nigerians are either not comfortable with a SE president orthe main parties feel the SE is unelectable and will only lead to certain defeat. Thats the harsh reality!!

As far as Tinubu is concerned let's see what plays out, you cannot impose consensus unless the candidates themselves agree. The fact that you want to do something (cabal) does not mean you will be able to. In Nigeria there are only 3 political forces: Buhari, Tinubu and PDP. APC is nothing without Buhari or Tinubu, similarly that is no individual in PDP who has enough clout to triumph nationally without PDP, i.e can go to another party and win. Atiku tried many times he failed, he needs PDP to win. No individual in PDP has the political influence of buhari or Tinubu. Every individual that becomes president under PDP does so largely (80%) because of the party and less because of the individual. There is no "big man" in PDP the likes of Tinubu or Buhari....not even Atiku. Tinubu and Buhari are organic politicians, there are a movement. Atiku needs an existing structure and then he will buy his way, he himself has no pull, his political destiny is based on deep pockets, highest bidder politics, not idealogy or any grassroots movement.
the combination of Atiku and PDP is a strong force, it is PDP's best chance but it will fail again against a united Tinubu/Buhari.

One last thing, SE have 100 PDP delegates, Anyim got 7 votes, before you point fingers at the SS, SW and the North, go and ask your SE brothers what happenned to the remaining 93 SE delegate votes!!!

Another long epistle without addressing the a issue. It was the actions of SE and SW in PDP that lead to throwing up of the PDP race open. Had it been the representative of the 17 southern states have insisted on zoning to the SE, it would have been like both 2011 and 2015.

For the state of SE producing the President. Time will determine the fate of Nigeria. The reason while SE have not been is because we supported and backed Jonathan against all odds

Tinubu should get the ticket first.

We have 100 delegate but how many State Governor. You all saw how PDP lost Imo and Ebonyi. Enugu and Abia governor went for the senate.

My friend the least one would expect if indeed there was injustice towards the SE is that the SE at least vote for their candidate....abi no be so? The truth is your own voting pattern towards your own candidates is proof that PDp was right not to zone the presidency to the SE, SE is unelectable. The 1st job of a political party is to win elections, no serious National political party will zone its ticket to a zone or person incabable of winning the votes in its own zone talk less nationaly.

Always making excuses and blaming others for your failures.

The issue has been addressed...........1) Charity begins at home 2) Serious Parties choose flag bearers that give them the biggest chance of victory in elections!!!!! In life if people are constantly not choosing you the problem is you, if you keep being passed on for certain roles, if women keep rejecting you, if men keep rejecting you, if you invite people and people dont come, whatever the issue may be, if it becomes a recurring decimal in your life, the problem is you!!!! You need to fix yourself!!!

This is the first time there have been an agitation for SE president in PDP. We have always done support for SW and SS, that is why this issues are emanating. These issues relating to votes would not have been there had it been a SE governor contested. Obi left power in 2013, Anyim Left power in 2015

The SE went for a strategic option by distributing the votes based on understanding. Umahi's defection and loss of Imo state was a huge blow to any aspirant coming. Who would finance such expensive exercise from Igbo land.

Atiku is a high profile wealthy business man
Tinubu have been holding largest economic state ransom for 20plus years
Wike is the Governor of oil-rich Rivers State

Obi is wealthy but does not want to waste his money against moneybags.

The problem I have with you people is that you people don't like to tell yourself the truth.

Drink from your own cup and tell yourself the truth, Nigerian politics is about money, if you dont want to spend your money then you are not ready to be president or you know deep down you cant win.

Who is going to fund the labour party that he has ported do, or you think having agents in 774 local govts is cheap? travel accommodation etc, who will pay for all the party reps? The money he didnt want to spend, he will spend, this time it will be for a lost cause. There is no way Peter obi can singularly fund the expenses required for a National election of a small party, which means he has already lost before he starts. When he is done he will ask himself who sent him to be quoting stats on the platform!

There is no way you succeed in Nigerian politics without either you or someone building a political structure and spending money especially when you do not have government apparatus and incumbency on your side..

Nawa for you..

It was reported that some people spent 35,000$ for delegate...do you think he has such money to fund ordinary delegate election. That is not even the main election when their will be branded bus, rallies, vote buying, party agent etc

he didnt know that one before he entered the race, is it not the same PDp that was spending money on delegates in 2019 or because it wasnt his money then he didnt mind, now that it is his money he developed a consciemce? You said he doesnt want to spend money, i asked who does he think is going to fund labour party that doesnt have national structure, party agents in all the polling booths, who is going to pay? or he thinks somebody else will pay for him to become president like 2019 with Atiku?

This is Nigerian politics, you will pay the expenses of your party members, accommodation, if you dont want to be robbed you will pay judges...thats the game many injunctions and lawsuits will come. Election time is when certain groups (lawyers, judges, officials of different govt agencies, party delegates etc etc etc etc) make money in Nigeria and it is highest bidder, If you dont have or want to spend money, you are in the wrong business...go home now.

if you are not ready for Nigerian politics stay at home. Democracy is not cheap anywhere in the world!!! When labour party finish with Obi he will run back to PDP and beg!!!!

Why are your crying more than the bereaved. How much did Wike spend yet nothing to show for that. How much did Saraki spend per delegate..

In politics you will spend money but when it becomes like stock exchange where the value can go as high as 35,000$. U want him to spend all that money for almost nothing...how much did Wike spend

in politics you will spend money, it doesnt mean you will win but you will spend, if you do n ot want to spend, then politics is not for you. He will spend more in Labour party (and will still lose) than any amount he would have spent had he stayed in PDP and won or lost. All the expenses of the Labour party are now on him and he will lose and I guarantee you he will spend more than he would have spent on delegates in PDP.

Most of these smaller parties do not even have physical secretariats or offices in many states, who is going to pay for these vital infrastructure? When you rent office then you will paint and furnish, he will then realise that $35k for 700 delegates in PDP is a bargain for having access to the existing infrastructure of a party like PDP and if you win, you wont shoulder the financial burden on your own!!!!

The only way a south against north in PDP is by consensus south with some votes in the north.

There are 774 LGA (majority being in the north). Now the transactional and tribal nature of delegate politics further makes it harder for a southern candidate to emerge.

There was not consensus in the south with several schools of thought backing several people. Its obvious that majority of the southern governors of PDP backed Wike except Obaseki and Udom (maybe)

why should someone carry on with $35k for something that will yield almost Nothing. Do you put your money in ventures that you are almost certain not to get return or rewards in

Obi wants to be on the ballot for the election not just mere attendant for party presidential election under PDP.

You have overflogged this issue and is yet to convince me on the so called Igbo politics.
