Crime would be on the rise and we'd have more problems on our hands. I hate this country.

A criminal will always be a criminal regardless of if he rides okada or not. So what other excuse do you wanna make.

How does doing okada make him less of a criminal. No be the same crime cause the ban in the first place?

It's easy for you to say. You know not what it's like to be in a country where graduates with skill struggle to find jobs how much more the uneducated ones.
I feel the government should have gone about this in a different approach. Provide them with korope or tricycles to pay gradually. Leaving them this way is not the way to go about it, they wouldn't be found doing it in the first place if they had a better choice.

The Hawoosa okada riders should
go back north and drive off their Fulani
masters of their land and work & farm
there. Not to be bringing their savage,
illiterate, intolerant, fanatic type of lifestyle to the progressive South...☹️☹️☹️☹️

Our government are lazy. Motorcycle is part and parcel of transportation, even bicycle, tricycle and scooters. The problem is our government are too lazy to play their monitoring role. They rather sit in their offices, dishing out directives and regulations. This is why lawlessness is pervading our society today.

What happens if those rendered jobless resort to crime then the lawlessness being averted will take other forms.

Play more effective role in monitoring road users, employ taskforce and retain motorcycle and other road users. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

They can move to their village and start farming.

Lagos state government just does things like brainless dolts sometimes. If you are banning something at least let there be a much more better replacement on ground. Till today I am yet to phantom the reason as to why they sent into oblivion Go kada and Max Okada passenger bike services. It would have been a very good replacement option for our local okada that they just enforced their ban.

Before banning this men the govt would have built more prisons and expand the existing ones because some of this okada men will surely go into crime.

100 percent agree with you.
The issue of the riders can be handled with regulation and monitoring. Like you said,.the people who should do something will prefer to seat in their offices. Afteall, 30 days make one pay.

With the ban now, let the state govt. tell those guys to come forward for registration and certification in conjunction with FRSC. Train them, register them, give them ID and group them with a team lead. Thereafter, set aside a " no okada day'" when all of them must attend a refresher course. Do not register.one that can not speak or understand English. On a regular basis, send out officers early morning on some days to check their alcoholic intake.

Offenders should not be jailed. Just seize the okada. That is painful enough.

I support the total ban on okada 100%, if anyone wants to ride okada, let them take it to their respective states. Most northern states have banned these bikes for over 5-6 yrs now, heaven no fall.
One stupid okada man fractured a cousin of mine femur in 2020; he wasn’t on a bike, but due to the inpatient nature of most of these idiots he ran into the guy where he was and he broke his femur. Instead of the idiot rider to wait, he still tried to abscond, if not for people around that stopped him that’s how the bastard would have escaped.

There is no govt policy that will not affect some people negatively.

If the govt. reduces the price of petrol and diesel drastically today, while majority will rejoice, some satanic cabal will cry that it is affecting them in one way or another.
