Why is Ebonyi owing workers and building phanthom flyovers?

Workers pay must be prioritized first over white elephant projects by the governor.

Its pure wickedness to owe workers that you can comfortably pay. Just to divert their salaries to avenues where you will get kickback.

I know that kerosine man will top the table and e sure me that the electorates will still elect his anointed candidate smh....

Why won't they vote his candidate? Our south east brothers are only good at condemning others but always cover their gullibility.

Abia state has been PDP from 1999 to date.

States in the south west, except Lagos, have changed party from AD to PDP to AC to ACN to APC yet our south east brothers would say Yorubas are slaves. Does a slave have the capacity to make choices? No. It's therefore obvious here that they are the real slaves. Upon all their loyalty to PDP non of them is considered fit for president. Very unfortunate.

No surprise even if all States owe because the inflow of revenue has no connection to the efforts of these workers. The are just part of the money sharing system using activities to justify earnings.

Good observation. That state is an example of Nigeria under the man after Buhari. In huge debt and having low revenue due to fiscal rascality.

The activities of most of those workers has no influence on the earning of the state so they must be pushed aside and use the available funds to do what will be accessible to all Abia peoples. It is better that way.

Lol you guys have weird logic. If you admit they aren't useful why hire them in the first place. Cut the workforce and implement a hiring freeze instead of incurring liabilities. The money going to be paid now or later unless they're taken off the books permanently. Government power really just attracts sociopaths and irresponsible people who leach off the productive.

If I disappointed my country, I'll be ashamed. How these so-called leaders can owe workers salaries is beyond me. If they go steal, you'll lock them. But you won't pay them. There was a country.

Hiring them is a complex process. Some government hire just before handover in order to appeal to people as being on their side. Others use it to reward loyalists. Even at that, govt changes. The fact of the matter is that these people are largely dispensible. If a worker influences your productivity or the productivity of your venture so positively, will you despise that worker and hold back his salary? I doubt. You may keep him though just for selfish reasons like maintaining your appeal to voters.
