Benin City is a very ancient and old city (right from the days of the old Benin empire to the days which she served as the capital of the mid-western region to the days of old Bendel State) that has refused to grow.

Who told you i am from edo state? joke apart, i am not saying uyo or akwa ibom doesn't have good infrastructures but what I am trying to say is that there is no circulation of money in that state hence the people purchasing power is very low.
