ASUU has lost our sympathy, too much of everything is bad, whatever action the FG takes on you people is highly welcomed by us, lecturers that are out there to frustrate the lives of students. That is why most students don't value their lecturers the way they value their primary and secondary school teachers.

Who has your sympathy helped. Will it take care of the welfare of ASUU members?

Why is the FG always defaulting the agreement btw her & ASUU?
They always take home bogus salary and expect lecturers to work in poor conditions.
If Nigeria is a sane country & students understand what is happening, they should also join ASUU to protest against FG

FG cannot force ASUU to call off strike if they feel like their demands are not met.

Has national assembly pay been with held without explanation? Why does oga ngige, think that he can arm twist them or other labor force if the FG don't always meet their minimum requirement or more.

The truth is that, they don't respect teachers, students, or Nigerian education. it is evident in their choices of family education and family health treatment .

So is strike the solution?
If it is, what do ASUU have to show for keeping students at home for 8 months?
What results have they achieved?

Did ASUU keep the students at home for 8 months or FG's failure to resolve their grievances early enough?!!

Are you saying ASUU has no concrete or solid reasons for being on strike?!!

I used to support ASUU but it seems ASUUs selfishness have driven them to their Waterloo this time around.
I support this move by Ngige and the FG should be prepared to replace any mumu lecturer found wanting or not discharging their duties well.

What exactly is their problem? Went in strike for 9 months in 2020 and they still got paid for those months. Went on strike again 2022 for over 8 months and counting and they still want to be paid 8 months salaries as usual but I'm happy FG is calling their bluff to deal with them. No union is allowed to be a pain in the as$ of the people and government anywhere in the world.

The students have lost 8 months of their lives for ASUUs agitations, they also lost 8 months out of the rents they've paid in their respective campuses, that's enough sacrifice anyone could make yet ASUU doesn't want to sacrifice anything not even their salaries and instead, they're here threatening they won't lecture and using students as blackmail cos they won't be receiving the free 8 months salaries they looked forward to. FG should be prepared to fire any lecturer that as much as not carry out his/her duties well. Nonsense.
So many are just too foolish and judgemental in this stupǐd country.

WHEN WILL YOU HAVE SENSE?

Some of you siding FG are fools...... The same ASUU will call of strike and the circle continues. Politicians and rich people will take their children to good Schools Abroad. If they graduate they will take Jobs at top establishments while the rest struggles with low-level jobs because they are not qualified. After you come and be shouting politicians are corrupt when it's Nigerians that don't have sense.

Buhari has said it already that Nigerian graduates are not employable but still doesn't want to improve the standard of Education.
So unfortunate.

And you think CONUA is anything different from ASUU? Just give them time.
If FG proscribe ASUU, the same lecturers that were in ASUU will move to CONUA and continue their agitation. Ngige isn't smart, to proscribe and register CONUA is tantamount to emptying kaikai into a bottle of Fanta.

@bolde, that would now give the government a very good reason to deregister them finally.

Some of you in this forum are just commenting without deep taught, saying that lecturers should go and find another job is a useless talk. We already have brain drain in university system, if this government provoke them to leave. The problem we will be severed than what we experienced in medical sector. Though, we know it will not affect them because their children are studying abroad, so what ever happen to local education sector is of no concern to them. It has been advanced by many right thinking people that the government that want to apply no work no pay to ASUU turned blind eyes to NNPC refinery workers who have not been working for the past ten years, and are been paid with promotion as at when due. What kind of double standing is that in the same country. I seriously doubt it if hands the judges in this matter are not tide in this matter.

Most of these people you engaged here are not using their brain at all. Instead of seeing that Buhari is destroying the University just like he has destroyed the economy they're instead blaming ASUU. Ignore them. Can you force lectures to teach after forcing them through fraudulent court injunction ( Buhari himself never obeys court order) to resume? Every other country in this world seeks to make their teachers at all levels happy. In Nigeria the govt is destroying education.

You are the one thinking through your anus. A union can't win always. Government has yelded to a considerable numbers of ASUU's demands but they want to score 100%. If Buhari want to destroy university education, do you suppose to join him in that effort. Assuming that the court decision favours ASUU, would you call it a Kangaroo court?. Then there is no difference between you and Buhari if you have to refuse a court order because Buhari too has not been obeying it. The economic problems we arefacing is not bitting ASUU members alone but in all sectors. Every profession that contribute to nation's growth deserve to be respected.
