Ahmed is a 15 year old boy who built a generator car. Here he is driving his self made car along Airport road, Abuja. Great stuff!

Do we need to copy inventions made by oyibo in the 20th century?

It is not about coping the invention,it about understanding the mechanism and putting it into practice. That is what the country needs.

Many Nigerian engineers already understood the mechanism but are not interested in putting it into practice because it is meaningless to expend so much energy in doing something that has already been perfected by the white man.
Look at the possible competitors below:

So what are the chances that he can break through with his own design?.

the car has not been perfected. . . not even close. Izuogu, a Nigerian, made the cheapest car known to mankind the z-600 absolutely from scratch using indigenous materials. intended for mass production

he got 18mpg and a 86mph top speed all for 2000 usd.

Did you really say that?No wonder you think jesus is your saviour. Are you trying to say whiteman has the perquisite right for technology?Nigerian engineers haven't even explored the technology of common wheelbarrow, talkless of cars, trains and airplanes.

The reason why we are backward as a people is because we don't apply mathematics in our everyday life and that is what that boy just did,he made something out of nothing and with a bit of encouragement and support,he will do greater because the fact remains that he understands the formula.

Are you sure he made that thing out of nothing?. All he did was couple things already made by oyibo abi na you discover generator?, gasoline, tire, steering, etc?. Get real. May be if we expend our time in finding alternative/better source of energy or eradicate hunger, HIV and malaria that are threatening to wipe us out in Africa.

I bet you think jesus will miraculously cure africa of the above mentioned impediments. It can only be eradicated when africans start being technical, creative and productive like that boy, using all the abundant energies around, hands and brains to make things happen.

Making things out of nothing could as as well mean coupling things that means nothing on their own and putting them together to create useful force and motion .Coupling things is easier said said than done in situation like nigeria where the notion of creative technology is seen as white wizardry, while the poor old woman in the village that tend to understand the rhythm of nature around her9wise woman) is seen as the blackwitch who makes and flies super-fast jets in her troubled sleep.

Is your intention for this discussion to abuse Jesus or what?. Can't you make a meaningful contribution without showing disrespect to my lord and the only savior of mankind there is?

Nigerians have been coupling things from time immemorial. Go to Nnewi, that is the bane of their business. So I don't know what is wonderful about coupling things that has been done over and over. Lets stop celebrating mediocrity.

Because that word jesus is the key illusion that is stopping you from seeing and appreciating things the way they are around you.Technology comes out of intuition and the ability of the brain to function properly,it not a whiteman's gift neither it is jesus'

Nnewi is not doing enough as a result of the rogue nigerian state and that is why nigeria is still a dependent nation.By now with a good government, nnewi would have gone nuclear and rest of africa will follow.

Since you obviously do not subscribe to the lordship of Jesus, what technological advancement have you achieved with your hyper intuition?. Can you make mention of anything you have discovered that will make our lives better in Nigeria?.

I never said that Nnewi is doing enough but the government has little or nothing to do with their stunted growth. May be they need electricity and roads from the government, but they can as well advance into providing alternative source of electricity for themselves. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Self discovery is the greatest discovery. If we all can discover ourselves,we will all know and be free. Just know like an ant.
