embarassed It will be nearing completion until the elections are over, then they will stall the project for another 4 years. It is only foolish people that fall for such gimmicks.

It takes Lagos state more than 12 years to complete a fully functional railway terminal whereas Anambra initiated and completed an airport in 8 months which is already operational.

I guess the railway workers are more worried about urchins that will be defecating on the tracks or the absence of owomida in those areas once it's operational, SMH.

And which project has commenced or being done by your governor in your stinking state? You focus on Lagos state why your state is in ruin. Yet you are not ashamed of yourself

You people should show us the major project Peter obi brought to Anambra state and the status quo.

What investment did he attract to the 2nd most densely populous states in Africans most populous nation.

Peter Obi knows the Problem of Nigeria, very well, an undergraduate of a federal University in Nigeira knows the problem of Nigeria. Peter Obi is just riding on the anger that Nigeians have towards the current hardship, he has never been a Man for the people. He does not like poor Northerners ( A majority of the Nigeria populace) and that is the reason why he deported all destitute Northerners in Anambra when he was Governor. Peter Obi does not like the average Northerner, he is unconcerned about our plight as poor Northerners.

Peter Obi infamously said education is not for the poor and poor people of all tribes and religion do not deserve to be educated hence he increased ANSU school fees by over 300 percent. These are all facts you can go and verify.
Peter Obi is an illiterate who had stated severally that he receives advise from Mad People roaming on the street so I wonder why any sane Man will expect much from him.
Well, I am with he Progressives.

Bola on your Mandate we stand!

Your last two sentences completely eroded the bit of sense we'd have tried to attach to your ramblings.

You are very funny, I thought you wanted to say, it took 8 months to complete a functional railway in Anambra cheesy cheesy cheesy

Except you brain was used for sacrifice, you should know that railway in a state with a limited land space is not easy, mapping it alone is a process, acquisition is another process (or you think the whole land is just waiting for the railway grin grin), sand filling, moving the equipment around, young man, this is not a housing project, I am in the construction business, criticism is easy, railway construction is not road construction kudos to them.

And you had to lie about the airport, it took 3 years, why would you lie just to discredit a project, you can do better, lying about information that is available online is a new low. This is not about any candidate, if you had to result to lying now just to prove a point, I just wonder what you would do if he can't live up to your ridiculous expectations.

The station will offer an intermodal transport system with BRT lane and a Jetty for ferry transport complementing the electric rail line.

Liars and scammers. since 1999.
ThiefNuibu talked about it in 2000. Fashola in 2011 and in 2013. How many millions of Lagosians have they been moving daily since June 2013
Do you think that we are still mumus?

Lagos light rail’ll be ready in June – Fashola
January 9, 2013

The Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola on Tuesday said the first phase of the state Blue Light Rail project would be completed by June this year(2013).

He expressed confidence that Lagosians would start enjoying the services of the rail project immediately.

The first phase would run from Marina and terminated at Okokomaiko area in Ojo Local Government.

Fashola spoke during an inspection of ongoing projects in the state which took him and his cabinet members to Orile-Iganmu, Alimosho and Ejigbo areas among others to assess the level of works being done by contractors.

The governor, who inaugurated the trackwork of the blue light rail at Alaba Suru, Coker-Agunda Local Council Development Area, said the level of work on the road and those of the National Theatre and Alaba-Mile 2 rail stations, would ensure early completion

He said, “In order to finish the project, the contractor did not go on vacation during the festive period. This will ensure that the project is delivered on time for the use of Lagosians.

“The first section of this rail, which started from National Theatre, Orile-Iganmu to Mile 2 Bus Stop, would be fully completed with the tracks laid.

“Construction work will continue on the project from Orile-Iganmu to Marina, the expansion work on the road from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko will also be intensified.

“This is what we do with the loan collected by the government. We don’t use our loan to pay salaries and other recurrent expenditure, what we do with our loan is to provide capital projects that would serve the residents.

“When the project is completed, the state would be at par with other major cities of the world.”

Did you go to school at all? The comparison you just made do not match. The rail project is over several kilometres with several challenges with right of way. The airport is just a location

Bro that is no excuse this project was awarded the same time with Ethiopia and the one of Ethiopia is a cargo and passenger train from Djibouti to Ethiopia the Pathway of the train is Ethiopia is far more challenging than Nigeria. For Nigeria the challenges were removal of houses and compensation of those who built right of way and the use of the bridges in Swamp and in the Lagooon and on the Island. Which other challenge was that. When I knew that this project had serious cash flow problems was when Fashola shifted the commissioning date from 2013 to 2015 after going to US to inspect the trains.
Already this project unless Lagos subsidises the transport fare per citizen it is going to be highly unprofitable because already Lagos has defaulted on the loans taken for this project since 2013.

But Ethiopia which is more challenging than Lagos took loans the same time as Lagos and Ethiopia commissioned theirs in 2014. What do you have to say about it?

California high speed rail stopped because of paucity of funds during the global melt down and again the design of the high speed rail was to use the bullet train technology in use in Japan. That is different from the light rail in Nigeria there is no BS you can use to explain away the project taking close to 20years to complete a train which uses the same technology with Ethiopia rail and was awarded the same time with Ethiopia rail and Ethiopia completed theirs in 2014 now 8 years Lagos is still struggling to compete theirs. Oga stop celebrating mediocrity abeg.
