I had a hot arguement with a friend  about the ideal person that should run a home, while my friend concluded that it's the duty of a woman, i submitted that the man dictates what happens at home. We decided to bring it on forum so as to hear what people have to say.

who should run the home, husband or the wife?

Man - General
Woman - Lieutenant

She enforces what the man decrees law.

A woman runs the home but with her respecting the man as her head

What happens if say one spouse dies and the other has no idea on how a home is run?
Man is the head,woman is the neck supporting the head. They both need to function well for the home to run.
If one is weak the other fails.
Responsibilities should be shared but don't go overboard to the point of making another feel irrelevant.

There are no such thing as military structure in the household.

I have noticed many responses are about bossing women around and barking orders. If a man has to do that to "run" the house then something is wrong with him definitely

Some men do not know how to be men so therefore they retort in acting like boys which is pathetic.

Just because YOU can get away with barking orders with one woman doesn't mean other women will accept that barking and only she has to be desperate to do so.

Respect goes both way and if a man wants respect he needs to give it as well. A woman is human not robot.
