Very sorry for your loss but if you knew of the crappy service being offered there, why did you allow someone so dear to you to be admitted there?
we were made to believe that was d 'best place' on ground, but it was hoax. Kid doctors with attitude just keep showing up, using mom as experiment, probably d 'consultant' just shows up once a month, and if u miss him, u wait till next month. We finally planned flying her to india, her passport ready, too late, mum slept in d lord, 18th july 2011. Mrs Adetoun roberts-i love u mum!

How, sad. I want to believe you learnt all you can from this grave mistake. Many years back I heard of those kid doctors at LUTH who are more interested in the gold they are putting on.

it's a unfortunate we under estimate the effects of poor customer service, , and that's why I for one appreciate this thread.

Customers that have had a bad experience in a field, usually are scared to go that path, or simply traumatized by the experience that they wouldn't want to give it a second chance, unless it's overly necessary.

how do we expect to migrate to virtual world like every other developed nation, when we can't even get it right with physical contacts,

yes, i mean kid doctors on skinny jeans, gallas hair cut, new kia cars, so what do u expect, they tend to look down on their patients(customers) and dat in turn affect their service(care). I like ur username-blink182.

I was the one that posted about Luth medical doctors and nurses with their bad attitude about 2months ago, it made frontpage here on Nairaland. To cut d long story short, my mum died last month in luth. Worst customer service-ALL(my apologies 2 d few good ones) medical workers in LUTH stink.
accept my condolence on your loss.
Wish you noted the name of a few of those doctors and nurses.
The lack of accountability in govt establishments is the bane of public hospitals.

our acceptance of poor customer service is a product of laziness and an acceptance of the norm.
we are just too lazy to seek alternatives.we'll rather shop at the corner shop even when the shop owner treats us like dirt rather than walk a few blocks down.
We must learn to vote with our feet and pockets.
Imagine a friend whose 6pm Air Nigeria flight to Abuja from lagos left around 1.00am in the morning (that is not a typo) still using Air Nigeria simply because they have a ticketing office in his office building? They literally had to fightthe entire Air Nigeria hierarchy before that flight left and there was no proper explanation nor apology.

forget the virtual world here.our level of literacy and cash based economy makes that a world away for us.

AERO CONTRACTORS

a very hopeless airline

i bought a ticket from lagos to benin city on on 6th august 2011 morning flight and a return ticket for evening flight.

in the afternoon while in benin i got the following sms

"We regret to inform you that due to change in aircraft capacity, we will not be able to accommodate you on our flight AJ166 from Benin city to Lagos on the 6th of August, 2011. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. For rescheduling, please call: 01-6284140."

i immediately called and then rushed to their counter at the airport and their representatives said there is nothing they can do, that they can only accommodate the first 20 or so pple who booked and i shd fly tmrw bla bla. i told them i have no one to stay with in benin, they say sorry. finish!
HOPELESS AIRLINE

its really a shame on them

Ah, I totally forgot hospitals.
Who said anything about government hospitals? Some private hospitals are equally terrible. And I'm not referring to the 'roadside' hospitals.
I have one in mind: Premier Specialists, on Ogalade Close, in VI. Apparently they discriminate between cash-paying patients and HMO patients.
To the point where they have separate waiting rooms for both categories of clients.
I was there sick once, and they kept me waiting for five hours. They said the doctors were having a meeting shocked shocked shocked shocked I eventually left and went to Reddington as a paying patient.

Called quicksilver customer care yesterday via skype and the 15 minutes i spent on the phone were my most pleasurable interaction with customer care in my life (and i've lived in London).Informing me of her actions every step of the way. On the other hand, GTB ( the other party involved ) were quite dismissive. Not rude, just indifferent.

GTB Ikorodu customer service is crap to say the least. TFC in ikorodu has the best customer service i have experienced from an eatery in Lagos.

Try the GTB Ikorodu branch one of these days if you have not done so. Other branches are fair enough but the ikorodu branch is something else really.

I'm not going to insult you back, if that's what you're asking for. I wrote a letter threatening to take the case up via the Financial Ombudsman, and they refunded me the charges. I knew it was possible to take the case up with them and get my charges back, which was why I went ahead and paid to end the cycle before writing my complaint letter.

Now you are making me happy. I never meant it as an insult, I was only really angered and needed to know if you just let them take your money like that.

that is why this thread will serve a better purpose if we narrow our experiences to specific service outlets and even person involved.

would have been funny if it wasn't true.
meetings where they spend most of the time discussing the private details of their high networth patients.
Had a friend who practised there for a few years.

I had one of such experiences from a hospital too.I nagged the HMO until they issued a warning to the hospital and addressed my greviances.

Mr Biggs has been spending so much on Logo and Branding, but I think they should have spent all that money on their staff attitude. From the lousy security men at the doors who beg like its going out of fashion to the crappy sales girls at the counter to the envious cleaners who just beef you cos u came there to buy some poisonous snacks.

I was at the refurbished one at Agindingbi this morning to use the rest room and I find a big black cockroach on the tissue paper. I call their attention to it, and the cocky bas***d told me that dont I have cockroaches in my area.

In such situations, I do not hesitate to dash out a slap and let him know who's the boss and getting him paid. If the manager of the place tries to rascal then I will let them know NAFDAC will have to pay them a visit.

Nova supermarket on muri-okunola, v/i.
bought jergens cream there for N1500 (which i could have bought N1999 @palms o!).
only to open it some days later and it had an odious smell. returned it some two weeks later cos i was out of town and the guy asked me to leave it and come back the next day, cos 'madam no de'.
next day, madam started drama, from 'what's wrong with d cream', to 'is it expired' etc.
i insisted 'just bring it out and smell it'. Then cream refused to surface, drew the attention of the chap who took it from me, but he just kept on as if i didn't even exist. finally, the cream showed up from under the same table the madam was seated.
then story changed. it was only a customer that sniffed and agreed that it had either gone bad or was fake. all staff kept insisting it was good. then almighty madam said she'd not do anything cos i'd opened it. imagine the nerve!
eventually left in annoyance and bought another from shoprite.

the most annoying part is that all the creams do not have expiry dates. so they are just ripping pple off. and to think i wasted 2 days going there trying to either get a refund or exchange. mchew!!!
