Hundreds of people are currently fleeing Eha Amufu, Isi Uzo LGA of Enugu state, after a fresh attack by armed herdsmen left scores dead and several fatally injured.

Eha Amufu, which is located by the Benue border has suffered frequent attacks from armed herdsmen.

From Sahara Reporters
Armed Herdsmen Sack Enugu State Community Again, Kill 10 Residents, Burn Several Houses

SaharaReporters gathered that the invading herders also wounded many, sacked villages, and burnt houses.

No fewer than 10 persons were reportedly killed in Agu-Amede community in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Monday.

SaharaReporters gathered that the invading herders also wounded many, sacked villages, and burnt houses.

It had been reported that armed Fulani herdsmen sacked over 14 local villages in Agu-Amede and Mgbuji communities since the second quarter of 2021.

It was also reported that so many people had been killed with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
Also, many people including children had been kidnapped by the same armed herdsmen who use Benue State as a launching base.

The latest attack, SaharaReporters gathered started on Saturday, when the armed Fulani herdsmen invaded Agu-Amede community and killed two persons and returned on Monday (today) and killed another eight people who were returning from their farms, and in their houses.

In videos of the attack, seen by SaharaReporters on Monday evening, many of the deceased had their throats slit with multiple machete cuts in their heads.

Women, this time around were not left out in the vicious onslaught, as two daughters of a church cleric in the community were killed.

A community leader, Augustine Odoh, who spoke to SaharaReporters confirmed the attack, adding that it happened on Monday around 1pm.

Odo said that all the members of their community living outside the community had been summoned home, adding that by Tuesday, the community would convey the corpses of the deceased to the Enugu State Government House to meet Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, since his government had practically abandoned them.

According to Odo, "They (Fulani militias) invaded first on Saturday, killed two people. Today, they invaded the community again and killed eight people including our women and children. So many other people about, 25 of them were equally wounded. They're in the hospital; we don't know how many people are going to survive."

Odo stated that residents were now deserting their houses over the renewed attacks.

Lamenting the incessant attack by Fulani herdsmen, Odo claimed that in all the attacks, no government security came to their aid.

"Our people cannot confront them with bare hands. They come in their numbers with AK-47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, shooting and destroying houses for hours unchallenged.

"The government will only deploy soldiers in communities in other South-East states to hound and kill members of pro-Biafra groups especially the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) but same soldiers cannot be deployed to our communities to stop herdsmen and Islamic terrorists’ attacks.

"That is the hypocrisy in this government. In my community now people see soldiers and other security agents as sympathisers and collaborators of the Islamic terrorists masquerading as herdsmen who are trying to conquer our lands."

SaharaReporters' efforts to get reaction of the Enugu State Police Command were not successful as the spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, did not take his calls.

ESN was supposed to stop this but instead they started killing their own people.
Security should be the main focus of this election.

They rejected ESN in their community. The problem with some Igbos is that they like to join outsiders (enemies) to condemn their own. They only deceived them to move against ESN so that they would be dealt with.

The Governors cannot do anything and nobody will be arrested but these Governors will be quick to draft soldiers against ESN but the soldiers will not show face when it happens. The worst is that the Governors who are against ESN cannot offer any help with their 'Ebubeagu.". The people that want ESN to be eliminated will still be the first to ask 'where is ESN now'?

This is the fate awaiting you all if Atiku wins. Tinubu's BH is even worse.

Who knows how bad it could be without ESN. This is why ESN should be supported by all Igbo and armed well. No need to become sitting ducks like the Middle-belt

It is this kind of thread you will not see any of those who love to blame IPOB/ESN of killings in the South East show their face to curse the herdsmen

They only remember insecurity in the South East if it can be blamed on IPOB

Ehamufu community have suffered, I feel for them. Incessant attacks by herdsmen have turned the community into a shadow of its self

Have you ever heard that Soldiers killed one single armed killer herdsmen? But if it is to raid communities and kill innocent defenceless people, under the guise of looking for IPOB, they will score highly in that one

All those abusing ESN and calling for Peter Obis head for not condemning them are now quiet!
Your fulani army is busy shooting Igbo youths at every checkpoint while the herdsmen go to the villages to kill, rape and plunder.
One Nigeria reprobates are quiet. But if it was IPOB that killed some cows belonging to the fulani, they will be all over the forum wailing like some dying goats. The way you all make excuses and indulge these fulanis and get all riled up when others step up to confront them is simply nonplussing!

This country is Evil. Buharis brothers have been going around killing for fun for almost a decade now and none has been convicted but all of you are desperate to have Kanu killed!

Go to Southern Kaduna or Plateau and see endless villages where the original indigenous inhabitants have been chased out and killed. The fulani has now taken over these villages and the police and the Army have posts there but will do nothing! Infact the security agencies are now providing security to the invaders/occupiers in other to stop the run away original owners from coming back to reclaim their homes and properties! None of you will condemn this..
That's what they desp0 want to do in the east and the governors are also quiet.

This country will never know peace untill justice is declared for every segment of the Evil nation.
