We too like to celebrate mediocrity in this part of the world. Go and see the numerous infrastructures James Ibori former governor of Delta state did and compare it with the ones those politicians are doing, you will weep for this country. Most of these mega projects are just a means to chop national cake and people that can't even buy a bag of rice will be jumping up and down.

Capacity of carriage without restrictions is what makes a bridge not the aesthetics.

An archaic durable design is totally different from an aesthetic durable design. The later is more important and blends well modern day construction.

This is what I'm saying we have been made to believe that once an old fashion bridge is been built it calls for a long lasting jubilation.

Where as we are been given a substandard bridge. If you check very well money used in building that bridge will build a standard, more durable and aesthetic looking bridge. Face it, corruption has eaten deep into this country.

And that's why you're where you are; you willfully lower your bar to the latrines. Very incapable of bigger ambitions. Plain and bland outlook to life..
Someone said I have to appreciate what I got, as if the governor did the project with his money.

Other countries are building modern roads, bridges with provisions for fast speed train tracks and other possible new technological additions to make cities more habitable and we are here celebrating pure concrete!

You saw Qatar during the world cup, you don't like what you saw?

Enjoy
Qatar spent $250 billion for their WC.
Nigeria's whole national budget is just a little more than 10% of that.

Learn to be realistic and not emotional sometimes.

You're too dense for this argument! Stop dabbling into topics you know nothing about. So because Qatar spent 200 billion dollars for the world cup, Nigerian governments can't build beautiful bridges!?
How much is the price for the bridges you saw in Qatar or UAE? Billion dollars?
How much is the price for this one or even the second Niger bridge!? It's not necessarily the cost that is the problem here, it's the backward mentality of people like you that's the problem!

You can remove Qatar there an put Egypt, South Africa, Malaysia, Vietnam or even Ethiopia if that makes you happy! Have you seen the new Ethiopia international airport? Have you read about the new dam the same Ethiopians just finished building? Howmabout the clean rails built by the Chinese in Kenya? Tanzania just signed a contract with the same Chinese for modern rails while Amechi was proposing moribund gauges for Nigeria! Stop arguing foolishly! There are enough funds to put some glitter on some of these projects if the will to do is there..

Those bridges are expensive. It would be stupid to take loans to build expensive brides when you could build a standard bridge for a lower amount. Keyword there is standard.

Nigeria's problem right now isn't an international airport. We already have more than 5 beautiful airports. I think Lagos is about building another one.
Money should be put else where for now.

Which moribound gauges was Amaechi proposing? Should Nigeria build bullet trains before you'd say all the rails and trains of Buhari are up to standard..?

You're quick to compare Nigeria with Kenya, Egypt and S.A when it comes to infrastructures. But you're be mute to add the debts these countries are using are far more bigger than Nigeria.

Guys, this is the Etebi-Enwang Road and the Afi-Uko Nteghe Bridge, Mbo LGA as at today Thursday. It is the 4th longest bridge in Nigeria with a total length of 1,150m.

Another fine project by Governor Udom Emmanuel without noise.

Share it if you love good things.
