STF ACCUSED OF COMPLACENCY AS MARAUDERS ATTACK MORE VILLAGES IN PLATEAU

Unknown attackers have once again struck the north central city of Jos as no fewer than eleven persons have been confirmed dead, many others sustained gunshot and knife wounds and houses also burnt in two separate attacks in Jos North and Jos South local government areas of Plateau state.

Attackers suspected to be pastorals raided Dabwak and Farinlamba villages in Jos south, killing four people and injuring over ten others, while another attack was reported at Zakalio Village in Targon District of Jos north where seven persons were killed and three injured.

Residents of both villages have blamed attacks on members of the Special Task Force for complacency in carrying out their responsibilities of safeguarding lives and property in the state considering the nearness of the attacked areas to the securities duty posts without apprehending any of the attackers.
