The truth is simple, if we are honest to ourselves, but if we want to deceive ourselves, we will continue to do these things.

Everyone is forming sleeping, or pretending we are normal

This is spot on! Unfortunately, the vast majority of Nigerians suffer from great inferiority complex (both the government and the governed). We seek for validation from anything ‘white’ and see them as superior beings.

But this is how we were made to function in the first place. Its not as simple as you make it seem. It either we function that way, or we descend into much confusion, perhaps anarchy and crisis, as long as remains in this setup. Why is English the official language.

But it can be managed, i dont see matured human beings, i just see a lot of potential crisis.

Nigeria is never independent.

Britain positioned Nigerians to manage her resources in Nigeria. The headquarter is in Britain while Nigeria is only a branch office. It is the same as MTN hiring a Yoruba to manage their office in Lagos.

for now, the Chattam house is the only and foremost platform for Nigerian candidates to sell their personalities and candidacy. So if we want to downplay that role, then its better we get an alternative. Get another good platform to sell your candidacy

Arise TV tried to build that alternative platform but spoilt it by doing favourism

You have to learn to read an intellectual piece and respond appropriately.
Just cause Obama flew to Germany does not validate leading candidates queuing at the door of Chatham house as if it's inec headquarters. That's the point you missed about the article.
That Atiku has not shown up can't be a reason for Farooq to be sour since he actually pointed out that Atiku is also guilty of same behavior in 2017 & 2018.

America has military bases in Germany. So millions of potential American voters live there. So Obama can be excused. Let's call a spade a spade, maybe shame will catch these shameless 'leaders' small.

But he did not fly to Germany to address Americans, the majority of the crowd were either Germans or other Europeans. (And yes, they can understand him because Anglisch is a second language).

At the end, he needn't have gone to Germany. We can also argue based on what you are trying to say that the

1.US maintains bases in Germany because their German masters decided they should maintain bases there.

2.Obama is a german slave.

At the end, I am tired of hearing that just because X delivered a speech at a foreign country, X must be the foreign country's slave. It is annoying and seriously lazy thinking.

Trump by the way was at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland a year before he got elected, and even made a speech. Maybe he is under the control of the Swiss.....

The thing is, if Nigeria must have a good economy, we must remove subsides, widen the tax earnings, and end stealing and corurption at all levels. None of the candidates are talking about that much.

Mr Farooq this not time to flex muscle, the country is at its low of lows.
Chatham has his audience, with over 5million Nigerians in diaspora the deserve to hear first hand from the emerging learders and is pertinent to note that is not only our country men that leverage the visibility it provides
Getting this ship to sail again at any cause possible is crucial only then will this cultural cringe be meaningful.

To me Arise and most TV station in Nigeria are guilty of this, favouring one political party or candidate more than another.

Broadcasters in Nigeria are gradually dropping the ethics of the profession. Yes, they are human and definitely they must or should have their own candidate, but as far as you're a professional broadcaster, you must not be bias in doing your job.

The article is laced with envy. As for Obi anything that will keep him in the news and increase his acceptance is way forward. Obi has spoken everywhere and even honored ay live show just to engage with the people he intends to govern and so his going to chattam house has nothing to do with looking for a stamp of approval because obi is already approved by majority of sane Nigerians.

And yes, I know what the article says...the candidates by delivering a speech at Chatam house are somehow being subversilent to their foreign masters. Yeah, that is the kind of thing that I have gotten tired of hearing.

Obama flew to Germany to speak with American troops based in Germany

Nigeria's own is mild. Go to the USA....it is overt.

Someone may also argue that the Chattam house is partial for not inviting Atiku and Sowore this time around cheesy cheesy

Obama flew to Germany to speak with American troops based in Germany

He also addressed a mass crowd in Berlin, the vast majority of whom were not American troops.

Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee spoke to a huge crowd around the Victory Column in Berlin's Tiergarten(ph) this evening, Berlin yime, about two hours ago now. Police estimate that some 200,000 people came out to listen to the address. In his speech, the only formal address in a week-long foreign tour, Obama called on Europeans and Americans to stand together to quote, "defeat terror and dry up the well of extremism that supports it, and, to fight threats from climate change to nuclear proliferation." And he was clearly speaking to two distinct audiences today, in Berlin of course, and also to voters listening and watching here in the United States. We're going to hear some excerpts from today's speech where Obama said this city of all cities knows the dream of freedom. He called, reminded everybody that this city, Berlin, was a flash point of the Cold War.

That is the speech.

Here is a rpeort about the speech from CBS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTRNYhEcCkE

Most of the crowd were native GERMANS. Some Americans, not many troops.

Plus if he was adressing the troops it would be at an AMERICAN base not in Berlin. The main American bases are in the Western part of Germany, not in Berlin.

Some people are yet to see their heads of governments as servants of evil they really are, or what a late British politician termed useful idiots, in the hand of their current neocolonial masters, alias former colonial masters.

Our self inflicted inferiority complex is what makes the Western imperialists exert their dominance on our polity. Nigeria's problems are within. So face the electorate that you will be answerable to back home first not like a druggie that is frantically avoiding the anger of a nation he sold into catastrophic doom because of his inordinate ambition to be president.

It's a fact that the Igbo coup d'etat dealt a great blow to Black Africa self confidence, for ever since that evil act, our national confidence is yet to return.

On the contrary I think it’s a much welcome rest and relaxation trip and also an opportunity to communicate with foreign Allies and get maybe a security update on the plans for the campaign trail.

I think it’s fantastic that all speakers have been invited and also think we should stop looking for any small opportunities to bring British politics down. It’s a test of character not just speech writer can we really hear much with loud crowds?

inferiority complex that causes psychologically damaged, formerly colonized people to inferiorize and disdain their own country and its culture and to uncritically valorize other countries and their cultures

Ah, is that what it is, the motivator of the Jappanese people of Nigeria?

That Nigeria vloger that traveled to Saudi Arabia and seemed to value the very things and even worse in Saudi Area that she disdained in Nigeria. She even praised the results of thire restrictive policies and dismissed Nigeria's ultra liberalisms as Jagajaga.....
