It was a moment of great celebration and display by the height and might in town as top government functionaries family members, friends and well-wishers both home and abroad stormed the Anambra International Convention Center to celebrate the union between the Special Adviser To Governor Chukwuma Soludo On Youth Empowerment, Dr. Nelson Omenugha and his wife Chidera.

The ceremony which began with a holy mass was officiated by the Catholic Bishop Of Nnewi Diocese, Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye and a host of other priest, including a visiting Bishop from Sokoto Diocese, Rev. Dr Matthew Kukah at St. Patrick Cathedral Awka.

Speaking at the reception, the Chief of Staff to Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajuigi commended the bold step taken by groom in keying into the family system for it blessings. He advised the young couple to live in peace and understanding and wished them a happy and successful marriage life.

Extending their felicitation, the Member-Elect for Idemmili North Federal Constituency, Hon. Uche Annie Okonkwo, the President General of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barrister Titus Akpudo, Chief Primus Odili among others while describing the groom as a friend and a brother congratulated and advised the couple to remain committed to their marital vows in order to enjoy peace and success in their journey. They prayed that God grants them unity, long life and many blessings.

In their separate remarks, the honourable Commissioner For Environment, Felix Odumegu and his counterpart, the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Bar. Anthony Ifeanya prayed for the couple and wish God's guidance and blessings as they begin a new phase of their lives together and advised them to love and respect each other.

Another friend of the groom, Dr Chikwado James and the transition committee chairman of orumba. Hon. Ogochukwu Ekwueme both advised the couple to engage the virtues of patience and tolerance to succeed in their marriage. They prayed for good health and progress for Dr Nelson's new family.

Expressing their joy and excitement, the couple thank God for making their prayers and dream come through, noting that they are the God's choice for each other. They thanked everyone for honouring their invitation and pray for journey mercy as they return to their various destination.

The event was climaxed by cutting of cake, special gifting, music performance by Prince Gozie Okeke, and dance by the couple.

The Commissioner for culture and entertainment, Don Onyenji. The commissioner for Budget and Economic planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake.the Commissioner For Special Duties, Hon. Silvester Ezeokenwa, the MD/CEO Anambra Broadcasting Service, Sir. Chido Obidiegwu and the Anambra State President Of Ohaneze Ndigbo Anambra, Obi Emeka Udodeme amongst others.
