Those using proximity of Ibadan to Lagos because of low passenger at the airport doesn't make sense, Owerri airport is more closer to Port Harcourt both airports always record high passenger traffic, Oyo people are they not traveling to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Owerri and other cities since they claimed Ibadan is close to Lagos

From Ibadan Airport to Lagos Airport is 113km

From Owerri airport to Port Harcourt is 54.3km

From Enugu Airport to Port Harcourt is 168km

Don't mind those people ...a large percentage of port Harcourt airport passengers are on transit to ABA and Owerri

But Igbos should be angry none of our airports can do 5 million passengers a year ...it's something we can achieve man it's possible we just need more fleets to reduce cost

Ogun state is lot more closer and there's no airport in Ogun state.

If I want to travel by air to anywhere, I go to Lagos first because it's far more cheaper to fly from Lagos to anywhere in Nigeria.

I am from Oyo state too.

They have not had airport all this while because it's going to be useless.

People will rather take a cab to Lagos and fly from Lagos where it's much cheaper.

Flying from Lagos can save you 50k because airlines know their planes will be filled in Lagos.

Even Land transportation you hardly see any Yoruba transportation company or morden park outside Yoruba land, they always use old mini vehicles, their park in Onitsha, they rented shop all the buses going to Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo etc use the same small space no comfort unlike the ones own by easterners, Ondo transport company was trying during Mimiko not yet again, Eastern transport companies always go for brand new vehicles and Morden parks etc.

The insecurity of roads in the south east due to activities of kidnappers and Unknown gunmen increased air traffic in that region. Nothing more.
I know the sensible ones among them will agree with me.

This a false information.

All the Eastern transportation companies are mainly targeted at travelers going to west and Northern parts of Nigeria.

Most Westerns hardly ever travel outside their own region, hence a transportation company from west will not survive the test of time, just like the Ondo state transportation company.

Fulani has been kidnapping people along Lagos/Ibadan express way, and they rub people on traffic on that road often, Owerri always record high passenger traffic even before APC introduced insecurity

All these dick measuring sef nawa for you ooh...All the brand new buses are used to ply only lucrative routes like Lagos, and Abuja.
All the buses plying Enugu to any state in the east are old buses too because those routes aren't lucrative enough.Remove Lagos and Abuja, all the transport companies owned by igbos are next to nothing.

South east that is so insecure that no bullion van with police escorts can pass any of the expressway in the south east.

Is it not the same Lagos Ibadan express road you said they kidnap and rob that your brothers in Lagos and Mowe that could not afford air ticket ply to the east?

Ply that road now, you will see police stationed at every kilometer..

Its the busiest and the safest highway in the country if you don't know.

When I was serving in ekiti it travelled from there to PH, Abuja and Onitsha without any transportation company buses. Here in the East one hour journey is handled by a transport company with modern parks, new buses and three passenger in a row

These are government owned companies but we all know that they don't use these new ones within eastern state..Eastern mass transit was my customer when I was in Enugu..
Go to ogui and see the ones PMT uses within the east
Why is it that no bullion van plies expressway in the east since 2007 till date?
