I saw way too many inconsistencies to take it seriously, and chose to believe the Quran contained more metaphorically and spiritual truths, which also eventually eroded away.

What's interesting about it is that it's a relatively new form of apologetics for Muslims, and was a copy of the christian "Biblical science" and the entire thing was mostly funded by the Saudis.

I think the issue or problem is the Over EXAGERATION of the Islamic Standard Narratives versus the Claims of the Qur'an with the Hadiths. These two are often at variance that only the Obstinate or Gullible or Ignorant can successfully hold such positions.

1. The Qur'an is the exact words of Allah dictated through Jibril
However,
When you read the Qur'an, you see that Allah prays, Allah makes several statements that look like someone else is invoking Allah etc

We see up to 30 different Arabic Qur'ans of which the Warsh Qur'an and the Hafs Qur'an are the most popular
