The Non-Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has said Enugu State is a safe
haven for investors when compared to other parts of the country.

NASUP Deputy President, Mr. Chris Ani, stated this on Monday as delegates to the
third Quadrennial Conference of the Polytechnics and Other Trade Unions
converged on Enugu from various parts of the country.

Ani and some of the delegates said they were pleased with the calm atmosphere in
the state and presence of security operatives in strategic positions.

The NASUP deputy president, however, called on the state government not to shirk
its constitutional responsibility by bringing to an end recent communal clashes
in parts of the state.
