Governor meets Netherlands, Denmark ambassadors to Nigeria

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday reiterated his administration’s continuous collaboration, partnership and business engagement with other countries and global investors for better Lagos and Nigeria.

He said the Lagos State Government is ready to partner and collaborate with willing countries and investors, who are ready to bring investments to the State, saying Lagos is open to business opportunities.

Governor Sanwo-Olu spoke during courtesy visits by the Netherlands Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Wouter Plomp and Consul General, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Michel Deelen, as well as the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Sune Krogstrup and Consul General, Ms. Jette Bjerrum, respectively at the Lagos House, Marina.

The Regional Chair, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Europe, Middle East, South America and Africa (EMESA), Mr. Matthias Tauber and Leader, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Africa System, Ms. Lisa Ivers, also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said Lagos State is willing to partner with the Netherlands and Denmark in the areas of renewable energy, public health and transportation, economy, environment, waste management, agriculture and food security, among others.

He said Lagos deserves foreign grants and support that will make the State a truly resilient city.

Speaking earlier, Plomp said the Netherlands is ready and willing to partner with the Lagos State Government for business opportunities and sustainability, as well as collaboration in the areas of waste management, rice mill, public health, agriculture and food security, among others.

Also speaking, Krogstrup, who noted that Denmark has contributed greatly to Nigeria’s economy by creating job opportunities, asked for continuous and sustained collaborations and partnerships between Denmark and Lagos State.

Tauber said Boston Consulting Group is ready to work collaboratively with the Lagos State Government to solve societal problems, make a difference and create value.

Good move in wrong direction and timing. Sanwo knows the barriers they will face but won't first work on it.

While Sanwo Olu is busy doing this...

Their Governors are renaming street from Abakaliki to Awka.

Later when Obiano runs away from state he governed for 8 years or Peter Obi shamelessly lives in Lagos his rival Tinubu developed instead of Anambra he governed...

They will be complaining.

Lagos State worked hard to build a rail system. They make announcements in Yorubas. Developers were complaining instead of blaming their own Governors who fed them kerosene.

As Tinubu blatantly cheated them of their turn...as he used their hatred to crown himself by indirectly voting him, he should just delegate ex SW Governors to rule the 5 unproductive red mud states. A dead SW Governor is 1000x better than all their Governors COMBINED.

Currently lagos is the only place investors could come now cos the ROI is hight there. I really don't know why tinubu is using kids glove when it comes to security in this country and I don't even know why his supporters are so quiet on that. All of us will watch while this country crumble.

Imo, Abia, Enugu, Anambra, and Ebonyi states are also seeking continuous partnership with hard drugs trafficking cartel in Columbia and Mexico.

Psychiatric evaluation for saying the truth?. Who brought us together to be in one country?. The same way druggie removed subsidy with due consideration.

But their governors too are working nah. They are working behind the scenes to support their brothers trafficking hard drugs to Europe, America, and Asia. And they are getting foreign direct hard currencies from there. They are also investing heavily in Baby Factories by building structures and recruiting more girls into the facilities so that they can produce more babies for sale in Libya Slave Market.
