You're a hypocrite.

Should OBJ appoint someone like him, I'm very sure you'll criticize him.

That's Hypocrisy
FreeStuffsNG:
He has the security pedigree though.

If confirmed then it's the turn of NSCDC to have a non-career NSCDC Head just like Customs and FRSC have had theirs in the past.

Most Nigerians who witnessed the NADECO years will be disappointed with this appointment. Check my signature for free stuffs!

I seriously doubt the authencity of this news, Almustapha that killed a lot of NADECO chieftains and even sent Tinubu himself on exile, I don't believe this story.

Hamza has good knowledge on security intelligence
actions speaks louder than voice.
he's always been outspoken and convincing to even educated people.
let's see what actions can do, he's always presented as though he knows the in and out of everything.
although his past records speaks for him, let's hope he understands that 1993 and 2023 is 30 years old.
some people are already grandparents at that age.

In the manner things are going on right now in Nigeria, Al Mustapha will be the best thing to happen in NSCDC. He's got the security know how to excel at any given office. This is couple with the fact that at this very point, Nigeria needs people of his pedigree. He would be the man to reposition, revamp and restructure the manner of doing business in the NSCDC.
Likewise, for those clamouring that he's a murderer, which of the Competent Court of Law tried him and finds him guilty of committing that they attributes to him?
While nations are thinking of building on skies, we are here castigating our very own. At this material time, all we need is competent people that can form a strategic synergy to get us out of this insecurity mess.
I urge and employ Mr. President to shy away from all those planning or wanting to see his administration do not succeed and go ahead with this good thing he's planning to do.

What we need today, is not rolling out of other security agencies, but rather empowering the already existing ones by injecting professionalism through contemporary trainings and re-trainings that would serve as a moral and career buster and see if we can't get rid of all this mess called insecurity by capping it with prayers. Our road to development is week, as such, we need professionals that would strengthen our institutions so that we begin to compete with league of nations.

Mustapha or any other Retired Military Personnel would get NSCDC rid of the crude ways of exercising her mandate. This is really obvious as we've seen Ex military Officers foot prints in Nigerian Customs, NDLEA and other institutions saddled. They may fail in their mother agencies, but not in Sister agencies... as failure does not have place in the Military.
May Almustapha succeed, may he also be giving this golden opportunity to showcase to the world what he is capable of.

I hear you, Al Mustapha will be the best thing that has happened since sliced bread.
In fact he understands security better than all military and intelligence officers in Nigeria because he is omniscient.

Listen to yourself!
You think current security threats still follow the playbook of the early 90s?

I will tell you this for nothing because I know: some of our nation's best trained officers will be fuming right now at yet another bone-headed decision! Al-Mustapha was a compliant and effective tool for the Abacha years - yes!
But the world has moved on, and the security challenges we face today require a new set of skills and mindset.

MKO would be rolling in his grave. By the time Bat's surreptitious links with Abacha's people is fully uncovered, those who still have their brains intact would recoil in disgust at the kind of character that Nigerians allowed into Aso Rock.

Don't forget that Abacha's main launderer, the Chaaagourys, have been long associated with BAT. Don't forget that one of Abacha's bagmen is currently Bat's Minister of Budget and National Planning.

Continue. Nigerians will learn the hard way.

Do you know how close Peter Obi was to Abacha?

You're the one being sentimental for thinking a former Chief Assassin should get a national job. No, he doesn't understand the current security architecture given that it's been long since he was in service. In security circles, someone like him is said to be "out of touch".

His essay betrays the absence of critical thinking skills.
Next he will be asking for Babangida to be invited to head up Nigeria's DSS, because he helped execute coups in the past. cool

One thing you can't take away from Major Hamza Al- Mustapha is his courage and absolute loyalty to his boss and country . The great general Abacha owed a lot to al-mustapha's bravery. All those who plotted to have the amiable general assassinated had their plans thwarted by Al-mustapha & his boys and met their waterloo. Abacha is resting in peace now as God pleases. A patriot to the core, abacha did his best for the country especially his prudent management of the economy- check out naira-dollar exchange rate during his time and now. If appointed as being rumoured let's hope that Al- Mustapha will continue to serve the country with the same patriotic fervour as he did under the tutelage of the quintessential general. May God continue to bless our dear native land of Nigeria and decimate her detractors.

Very unintelligent statement. Your naira has been pegged for over 40yrs and was sustained by petro dollars hence the reason you have dollar scarcity. Alot of people don't do simple research

How would i trust a man who said he got his advice from a mad man and also his children need to record him when he is talking so that he can be held accountable and keep reminding him of what he said incase he says otherwise. Those instances alone will make me doubt him and question his ability to make right choices and decisions.
But a man who attended a school that did not exist can make right choices and decisions abi?

Appointing MKO Abiola's wife killer and a confirmed assassin as NSCDC head is a new low.
I understand why such character may be romanced before election but it is totally wrong post-election.
But we haven't heard you condemned GEJ that released him from prison.. Nonsense

I hope this is not done. He represents anti-democratic force. We all knew his role during the inglorious Abacha years. Tinubu was a victim of his killer squad. He had to hurriedly run out of Nigeria to avoid falling to Almustapha's men's bullets.
He's one champion of a repressive regime that has never shown remorse for his atrocities.

This governement is just confused on all sides, please how will you bring someone who has dirty past and lacks the current security skills needed in this trying times as a country to head a very vital position...

We have Generals both retired and service men studying in the near places in the world but the clueless president will kill the aspiring officers dream and vision in heading the force...
